As someone who has only worked 3 months this year because of covid I find it insulting when someone says they enjoy this lockdown and want it to continue. Maybe you should change your job if you your spending too much time commuting and away from the family instead of wanting to prolong this ****.

Who has said that they enjoy lockdown and want it to continue?

The only people causing others to suffer unduly are those who preach against it all and want to earn us more cases, more restrictions and more deaths.

Then they have either the gaul or the stupidity to make these moralistic points when what they really need is a mirror, not a keyboard.

Proclaiming to be worried about people's mental health due to lockdown but when someone says, "It's not that bad, really. I'm getting by." NO! You have to feel bad about it. Bring out the sackcloth and ashes.

It’s literally on the last page or two. Enjoying lockdown due to the personal and financial gains.

    Really worth a Watch/Listen.
De Brun was vilified for whistleblowing the nursing home fiasco. He was trying to save lives but is now labelled a Covid denier when he was trying to do the opposite.
He is now ostracised for criticising NPHET/HSE.

George Hook has spoken out against the lockdown and Dr Holohan.

Finally a bit of balance. It's a shame he has retired.

Is that the same Dr De Brun that back in July said that health people wearing masks were "essentially preserving a huge population of potential hosts" for the coronavirus ?

Yeah, maybe listen to the interview.

Thanks, but after that July comment I do not feel an overwhelming need to hear any more of his ramblings

I suppose if you can't argue with the points a person made it is best to talk them down...

I've been following the data from numerous sources.

The most important being the excess deaths this year and of course the very low fatality rate (for all cases - any statistician worth their salt would know this is more important than the fatality rate per confirmed case). I won't even get into the broader stats such as GNP, youth unemployment or cases of domestic violence.

    Let's open up.

I can see where you get that but i look at it differently. In the worse places you are at over 0.1% mortality of the entire population and counting despite every effort to stop that (too little, too late).

Mentioning masks in context of the restrictions is fine but some posters are endlessly talking about masks and nothing else. There is a thread for that

Off topic posts in this thread will be removed

 Backs out the door and closes it very very quietly.

Told you, it's already started. Ticketmaster will require proof of test/vax through digital health pass to enter events:

"Ticketmaster announced their plans for screening fans before they attended events, which will rely on the Ticketmaster digital ticket app, third party health information companies like CLEAR Health Pass or IBM’s Digital Health Pass, and testing and vaccine distribution providers like Labcorp and the CVS Minute Clinic.

Once a fan receives a COVID-19 vaccine or tests negative for the disease within the 24-72 hour window, a health pass company will deliver that information to Ticketmaster, allowing entry to the event. There is currently no date for when Ticketmaster will no longer require COVID-19 precautions".

It will be air travel and everything else next. If everyone just said "no", this would be scrapped. But there's too many sheep who'll give in after prolonged lockdowns. As I explained earlier, a large point of the unnecessary, continued lockdowns was to demoralize people into accepting measures they would of never previously. By the end of this, you'll be tracked in as many ways as possible -- all in the name of public safety ;)

That Ticketmaster thing is only for the US. There's too many checks and balances for that to happen in the EU.

Except that's literally not what was said. I'm willing to be corrected if you can quote the post.

Thanks. I didn’t see it was for US only but to be fair, many non-US citizens would then need to either get vaccinated or submit to this test idea if wanting to go to a concert in the States, which would be common enough.

I wonder would Disney/Universal/etc implement it.

Whatever happens, that ticketmaster pilot won’t be the last IF people agree to the idea.
