They didn't even include the link they mention in the post....... I'd safely bet it's just a rehash yesterdays comments....

I went to the website to see. Its worse just the same sentence, something about schools and a partial quote with no links or context.

To be looked at again in 2 weeks time when impact of current measures and schools is reviewed

Then pushed back again cause of the high numbers from the school reopening

Back on July 20th when the can was kicked for the first time they should have just told the pubs that they were shut until the schools are open a few weeks and we see how it goes.

They can all open tomorrow if they want. Most of them already are

That's a decision for Government not Glynn.

Surely they'd be mad not to open? Cold plate / cheese board box and away you go.

They will be open soon, 350pw subsidy is gone after this week, lot of chaps will be down to €200pw and won't be happy.

I'd doubt very much rural pubs were availing of TWSS, would have been far better for all concerned to be on PUP at this stage, including the owners as self employed. Not looking good for pubs, at this rate it will be 2021 before they are back open

There's loads opening with chipper menus.

Do NPHET advise our Government about this?

There's plenty opening with just receipts on the counter too as soon as you order your first pints. Food available to be served, but not happening.

Anecdotally, Portarlington has a few pubs acting thús, I am told.

A ****ing shambles. If they had have just stuck to the plan.

It's an anti alcohol thing. Pure and simple, it was their golden ticket to go after our drinking culture.

We need pubs to just start opening and telling them to **** off

Felt like Glynn wished he was in a pub whilst listening this that babbling reporter waffle on about outliers and pubs not opening.

Advise, Government decide. The Government watered down the NPHET recommendations the last time.

Yeah but you have to buy food, not move from your table only for toilet/smoke and out by 11pm every night

If it wasn't for the meal thing it would be ok

And they're open. Selling pints. I've been there. The pints are still as nice as they were pre-Covid.

    11:30pm.

It's good you recognise that they're open. Have you been? It's quite nice
