Well, I was born there so I'm a dual national. But I don't really feel British. Or even English. You'd probably think my accent is weird.

I don't think they exist any more, it's all mundane interspersed with bad news. Rinse and repeat ad nauseum.

Time to open a drink. It's so late now only have a few. Late night coffee is a bad idea.

Hey Smurf, thanks for what you said the other day. It helped my stress levels, after being exposed to a driver who tested positive. Stay safe!

Woke up an hour ago with my throat on fire
Seems those sniffles yesterday weren't the result of an allergy. I've no temperature which is comforting. I've checked the symptom checker on HSE website and the dreaded COVID seems unlikely but will phone GP at 9 to see what they say. Obviously my concern is for my Dad here, not me.

Bedside, not heading into work until lunchtime, I've loads to do this morning but no mojo, honestly there's more life in a corpse, I hope it's just tiredness and not laziness but I'm beginning to wonder.

Have a great Friday lads I'm definitely getting takeaway tonight and I'm looking forward to it already.

Cheeseburger, chips, peas and a potato pie and I'll rob a few onion rings from someone else. I'm starving already.

Just wrang the GP. Explained my symptoms to the receptionist. 'OK so, says she, I'll put you through for a COVID test'.'
-Hang on - do I not have to be assessed by a dr? Also, I don't drive and have no way to access the test centre. How do i go about getting a test? I'm a carer and need some advice regarding what to do about Dad.

-oooh, I'll get the Dr to call you. Can you I get your card details as there is a charge for phone consults

    - COVID assessments are free, aren't they?

    - Do you have COVID?
    - I don't know! That's what I'm phoning to find out!

Seriously, I don't need this. Waiting on the call back. God knows how long this will take.

Ah Sardi, that's ridiculous, so frustrating. Hopefully you get sorted out soon, you've enough on your plate as it is, I honestly think people deliberately complicate things that should be so straight forward just for the sake of it, you can add high blood pressure to your symptoms after that phone call.

@Thomil : have you come across the cemetery in Glencree ? ( https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2196751/glencree-german-war-cemetery ). Well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.
