Pet shop boys. Could never warm to dire straights where i did like a few of the pet shop boys songs. Not a huge fan of either really.

Dire Straits - Knopfler's guitar alone would win this. Did the Pet Shop Boys stuff even have melodies?

Police - Again, both great, but I prefer the band that kicked off Sting; seemed a bit more varied than Springsteen.

Dire Straits tough call this one but Dire Straits have some cracking songs
The Police - based on teenage me I much preferred the police to the boss.

The Police ; they had some quality songs and their best ones during the '80s, while Queen also had quality songs, but their best hits are from the '70s

Watching LiveAid that Saturday afternoon will always stick in my memory. Radio GaGa and We Are The Champions so good.
