do you think you are funny and hilarious or have attention issues spreading your BS in this situation or why are you doing it?

really annoying, this is the third or so post of you with such nonsense and no back up. why are the mods not reacting to this and nobody else is calling this guy out on this??

We're allowed to post lies and bullshlt. Just take everything I say with a pinch of salt.

My thread about this fearmongering in feedback:

I agree with that sentiment. I posted a warning in the OP partially on the back of Ads by Google's feedback, but also after a number of reports. It can be seen via the link in the OP here, but the gist of it is none of us can be considered in any way "specialist" in the topic, but even if any of us feel we do have relevant knowledge we are all anonymous posters and unless a verified rep our own "expertise" is non-verifiable. Equally though those comments apply across the whole site.

Of course posting links to verifiable sources is different, but unlike other forums such as Politics we no not require such links to be posted and in the absence of such verifiable information everything posted should really be taken with a pinch of salt (except Mod warnings of course:pac:)

If boards.ie policy is to allow fake news in 2020, I will continue to make a mockery of it and the posters here doing it.

haha!! listening to RTE radio here - talking about the Rugby, talking like the Italy game is gonna happen .... fools..

I’m meant to be going to Paris for final game and just seeing how it plays out over next 3 weeks. I’m 70% thinking we won’t be going the way things are looking.

Probably not the best idea to admit to trolling.

I think that's chapter 1 in how to be a troll

Awwww Googly is bored. He’s been told to stay away from work for weeks now.

Any update on the work situation?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭CinemaGuy45

    Just for some perspective.

The situation seems to have really kicked into high gear in the last 24 to 48 hours.

Yes this thing is not the end of the world the death rate although disputed is pretty low.

However the economy as in the world economy is going to take a beating and the same morons who said there was nothing to worry about are going to be the first ones to go into full panic mode.

I hope they can manage to contain it but who knows at this stage, it seems to be such an insidious virus.

Italian government is a bunch of clowns and they have no clue of what is going on and what to do next.
They tell us (Italian) not to panic, but they are in a clear state of panic themselves.

Lets not forget the actual infection rate is very low too, especially with effort applied. We tend to forget Hubei has 58 million people.

There is no reason for panic whatsoever.

It is an interesting story to follow and speculate on but I don't feel concerned myself.

This, this, this, this all day long is why I’m worried, our hospitals are bursting at the seams as it is, we do not have the facilities for an increase in people on ventilators or ICU requirements here https://twitter.com/drericding/status/1231817781643038721?s=21

They have a plan alright, 20,000 dead here if it arrives going by the Sunday business post yesterday. We're are 96% capacity in ICU as it is and we've only a couple of proper oxygen ventelators. We're pretty much screwed was the theme of the report.

A couple of ‘proper oxygen ventilators’? How many of the other ones do we have?
(I didn’t see the business post yesterday, can you link/copy the article)

In 2017, the amount of people who died in Ireland was around 30000. So the SBP reckons that if coronavirus arrives in Ireland, that it would increase the death rate by 66%.

Is it if one case arrives in Ireland or is there a minimum number of cases to arrive to activate the guaranteed 20000 deaths?

Also, what is a "proper oxygen ventilator"??

Don't forget this whole thing started with one case.

One case becomes two and that becomes four eight and so on.
