Chris Harris finally got a can in his hands

Had a can last weekend and i noticed it's made in Austria. Please tell me it's made in the Red Bull factory.

It's marketing itself as a premium British brand. Its going on sale in Holton Hotels and Grosvner casinos. There's no doubt that it's just a basic energy drink. But it could make it big yet. Stranger things have happened.

Edit:hurt saw the bit about them parting with HAAS. Presumably they couldn't actually pay for the sponsorship.

Wednesday they were looking forward to the race, today they depart. Seems like Haas asked for a cheque that doesn't bounce.

Scumbags. That kind of messing could take down an F1 team. Saying that, every man woman and child in Ireland could have told Haas to steer clear. Force India administrator saw straight through them, Williams didn't bite either so it's hard to have much sympathy for Haas.
Rich energy couldn't have such a clause re finishing near the back the odd time in the contract so I guess it's yet another lawsuit coming their way.
I guess they were a front for shady money. The whyte bikes fiasco might have put too much heat on the source of that money so the plug is pulled.
Last thing a shady business needs is a judge requesting all details of your business accounting.
It's quite funny that shady and all as they are, it's the stupidity of copying the logo that takes them down.

Williams where all set to sign a deal, except Rich Energy decided to talk to Gunther while Claire was stood up on a dinner meeting where the deal was supposed to be signed .....

I'll clutch that straw again if I may.

    Haha, suckers!

And such an unclassy way to depart. Expected though and good riddance to the con-man, snake oil salesman in charge.

It could be shady money. But it's just so public to sponsor a F1 team that I think its just the oldest trick in the book. I think they promised sponsorship money and hoped to get the money before the money was due. But the deals with the casino and hotel chain I mentioned were not quick enough or numerous enough to get them the money they needed.

I think Carabao energy drinks did the same thing by sponsoring sports before they actually had a product widely available. Imagine the promises they probably made to haas.

The old adage "if it seems too good to be true...."

Haas should just say nothing and turn up with the usual livery with the stolen logo returned but the words rich energy replaced with Whyte Bikes.

Rich Energy have persistently behaved like scumbags, Haas will win on the double, they will no longer have to be associated with a toxic brand, and they'll successfully sue for breach of contract. Not that Rich Energy will have a dime left to pay out on any court ordered compensation of course.

The Haas team have refused to comment on matters. Sounds like it's going legal big time.

Media day in Silverstone, it'll be interesting to see what the car looks like when built.

Autosport posted a story about it. Apprently the investors are trying to save the deal

are HAAS really even hurt by this , I assume they paid HASS money to be on the car . And I am sure the due diligence by HAAS negotiators meant they saw what money was there and that it was real .

they are probably down money over the year but they should be able to pick up a another title sponsor handy enough and I am pretty sure they would win any court outing against Rich energy .

Meanwhile, Williams are just a little bit more secure.

The new rumour is that Storey sent the tweet after he was fired by the board...this is fantastic.

Great to see Williams having long time sponsership and it must be working for Rokit too. Now if Williams could just get there act together and make a fast car. Any more on the rumours of them changing engine supplier?

This is the latest in the saga. Not clear who posted this one but looks like Storey has lost the plot.

So Haas won't deal with Rich Energy while Storey is still there, incredible stuff.

Whyte bikes didn't get their court costs from either Rich Energy or the logo designer so are now seeking a petition to wind up the companies!!

That will be fun for the insolvency manager to unravel

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,264 ✭✭✭✭mickdw

It's all very funny and appears that it's just Storey sending out random tweets but surely they have at this stage paid Haas millions of Pounds and there must be a professional board somewhere within this business.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,301 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Haas still have the Rich Energy logo displayed on their cars this weekend at Silverstone. Are Haas going to keep it for a little bit longer though as in keeping the logo will only become a temporary part of the process of these developments? What I don't get either from this spat between Haas & Rich Energy is why would Rich Energy try & link the argument with leaving Haas with having both internal politics & PC elements within F1?

Are they or Storey spouting a load of crap with that tweet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,410 ✭✭✭Harika

As rich energy is not producing drinks, the stakeholders can create a new company called gold energy and send money to Haas.

SportPesa have pledged to donate 1000 to cancer research for every position Stroll and Perez make up from the grid to the chequered flag from now until seasons end. Lance's chronic inability to qualify + his generally good racing/tyre management will now be helping a great cause!

Kimi is having a very good season so far at Alfa Romeo. Currently 8th in the standings and scored points in 7 out of 10 races.
