Poured out a bowl of cereal, then went to get the milk, which seems to have gone off even though the date on it isn’t until the 25th

    What brand is it?
    Plastic or tetrapak?

I only buy Premier, Avonmore or Snowcream in one litre tetrapaks. Full fat.
Supermarkets' own brand milk (esp Lidl, Aldi) = bullsh*t and plastic cartons make it taste awful.

TA'd that i sent a boardsie free tickets worth €60, for a show I couldn't attend, and no word from them as to whether they received the tickets on time or went to the show....nothing.
    TA'd at bad manners.

    Have to take this back.
I had an email from a name i didn't recognise and i didn't open it until it dawned on me today what it was. It was an e-gift voucher from this person who got my tickets.
    Manners does still exist.

When you get a foreign coin in your change but don't notice until you're home.

1 Bulgarian lev I'm looking at you.

People coming towards you on path, taking up the whole width of the path, see you and walk straight at you expecting you to jump into the road.

Saw three women do it to a lad today, he couldn't have made himself smaller and there was a parked car so he couldn't step off, the lad and one of the girls bumped arms and then she starts shouting after him as if it was his fault. I so wanted to call her a dickhead.

It was both own brand and in a plastic carton, so that might explain it.

My TA for now, my dad. First he went off to Turkey to get a hair transplant (flew business class, no less), and then he’s telling all about his new (old-ish) high spec, 3 litre Mercedes. My first TA is that I’m worried about where he’s getting all this money from, because he’s broke (he has power of attorney over my granny’s estate or whatever as she has dementia and needs some form of nursing care)

The horrible part of me is also annoyed that he’s spending all this money, but yet I’m still driving my crappy car, paying tax, insurance and petrol all by myself, working my ass off for minimum wage, and have never gotten a penny from him.

I have no issue with black. I have an issue with thick black tights during summer. Last July and August were sweltering and the amount of women who were still wearing them. I just don't get it.

I think some women have no choice but wearing them since there are still plenty of conservative workplaces out there where bare legs are deemed unprofessional. I recently interviewed in a place where bare legs would be a no-go if you're not the receptionist and some ladies choose the black over nude because they'd never find nude tights to match their skin tone.

TA: conservative/ smart business dress code when it's furnace degree outside!

Virtually impossible to find nude hosiery to match celtic colouring. plenty of lightweight black tights around sp it makes no sense if they wear thick ones in summer unless they just appear thick because they're deep black .

ta emotionally manipulative woman . She wallows in victimhood and makes awful threats to scare people and this is a regular thing . I look like a b1tch for refusing to take the bait and repeaTedly sympathise with the mile long tales of woe about how literally everyone was and is a bastard and she's never had a moments happiness .I've a feeling she's been setting people up as bullies and abusers. I believed her at first but it's strange that it keeps happening . She doesn't want help. She'd have nothing to complain about then.

I often wear thick tights, because sometimes shaving the old legs is a ta and those lovely near see through black ones show everything!

Was walking out of shop yesterday and saw woman approaching so instead of walking through door I stood back and held it open for her. She just marched through it without breaking stride, nodding a thanks or acknowledging this small kindness - like I was some kind of servant or doorman in the regal palace of her imagination.

    Some people are so rude.

Annoyed that I didn't bellow "You're welcome" after her.

It's hilarious when two of these self entitled women encounter each other at a doorway. They will literally barge past each other. Sharing a brief glance filled with contempt.

Both of these happened to me recently. The first strangely with 3 women as well but they wouldn't be the kind you would take home to mammy so was half expected. The second I actually did say "you're welcome" to her as she scowled at me and walked away whistling.

Yes I've a very frustrating friend who does this in person as well. You really have to think through your phrasing and break it down for him. And he's forever telling people he's got an iq of a billion and one.

I have a slightly different TA when it comes to doors: To leave work we have to go through 4 doors. The other day I was walking behind someone I didn't know and they held each door open for me. How often do I need to say thanks in that case? Once? For the first door or the last door? Or four times? What's the etiquette here? I think I said thanks properly once and then mumbled it three times...

Experience this regularly as I when I go for strolls it’s mainly on my own. There seems to be a train of thought that the more that’s in a group, the more ‘right of way’ they have on the path.

Let’s just say my shoulder begins tensing these days when I sense culprits approaching and a few have felt the brunt of a reasonably solid shoulder :)

You did it wrong. You should have preceded them to the second door and held that open for them, then reverse for each of the next two. Two thanks each, bob's yer uncle.

FB in general though it's fast becoming a full blown Major Annoyance.

Constant ads and the really really annoying video ad in the middle of a video!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,661 ✭✭✭Blitzkrieger

Saw an elderly couple driving the wrong way down a one way street this morning. Reminder for everybody - look both ways before crossing a one way street!

Also TA'd at ****wits that stand in doorways.

I was leaving a shop this morning when some lad (whose wife was heading to the counter) decided to meander into the doorway, while adjusting his belt, to have a good old gawp at the street outside. ****ing move! :0 Honestly it should be acceptable to either give them a good shove or a boot up the hole.....

And never actually say what is wrong with them! I understand if you want to keep your ailment confidential, but then don't post about it at all
