    Sometimes lightning strikes twice..

After January 2010 i didn't think i'd see a comparable cold spell in a few years, we had one in less than 11 mts!!

So here's to another little Beast!:D

I know, i know, a model 10 days out. It'll be gone in the morning. But if we have no cold weather to enjoy we might aswell enjoy a bit of model eye candy :)

The dry and settled period i was talking about for around the middle of February is starting to trend on this evening models . I would suspect HP will build over south East extending towards northern Europe . Few frosty nights with south / south easterly flow, cool but certainly not cold . This will be a great after this fairly unsettle weather we going to have

Yes. No real depth of cold to tap into at day 9 and day 10 on the ECM. It would probably take a week of winds from the 16th February from a more easterly/north easterly source to get us that cold. Suppose subtle shifts in the positioning of the high have a slight chance of occuring.

Very surprised at how windy it is in mid Cork this evening. Rain coming in heavy pulses with hail at times.

It is pegging snow and sticking in Loughrea.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,315 ✭✭✭snowstreams

I'd say athenry is 0c now.. Snow has turned to dry fluffy stuff in last ten minutes. Lots of places could get a bit of ninja snow from this.

I'd say it's fairly accurate as it showed 6.2 at 10pm compared to 6.1 at Ballyhaise.
    Still 5.8 now
