I think if that good looking chick wasn't behind Freeman, Freeman would be alright looking.

Really stupid populist question from someone who clearly has no knowledge of the presidents role and limitations

it was always going to happen, people just ask about houses for no reason in every topic now .

she literally froze up and dodged questions on the IRA, made her look weak as hell.

She used the "the IRA are gone" line which wears thin twenty years on. I mean are the IRA actually gone ?

well that aul lad had a gun on a bus a few years ago, there was another incident with a bomb and of course slab Murphy, all very recent.

Sean that sounds like a speech of a Dail candidate. Ah jesus the not addressing the Dail is hardly a deal breaker.

Duffy is spoofing, nothing to do with the president

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

So no then. I'd say the lads are still meeting in the pub every weekend and remembering the "glory days"

GD his point might be right but not an issue which is relevant to the presidency.

'Where you on any marches' is clearly designed by Pat to get at Sean.

who the feck cares whether a candidate favoured water charges?

I actually think there's very good questions to Michael D and he's not answering very well...

Michael D. could barely keep a straight face there. €3k a night, holy smokes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,625 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Pat and Sean really don't like each other at all. Was pat kenny involved in the court case even though he wasn't working at RTE for long after the incident ?

Michael D fudged that one completely, didn't want to admit he agreed with them but wouldn't go against labour there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,489 ✭✭✭✭For Forks Sake

    F*cking water charges....

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,165 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

Gallagher and Duffy like kids there. They wouldn't admit to being in favour of water charges until Casey rose his hand, Gallagher slightly lifted his.

MDH cannot express an opinion on legislation that went before him during his term. FFS Pat

Somewhat tangentially, am currently watching Mairead McGuinness on Newsnight. "You can't just say that and not let me respond," she tells the presenter at one point. It's almost like she's forgotten what it's like to be "interviewed" by Pat Kenny...

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,071 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

What are the audience going to do - jazz hands? :p

Do they really need to show their approval/disapproval en masse in that way?

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,625 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Michael D fudged that one completely, didn't want to admit he agreed with them but wouldn't go against labour there.

Well was it a correct answer though ? Is a sitting president allowed to have an opinion on that issue ?

Jaysus just tuned into this so called debate, most of what being discussed has nothing to do with being President in Ireland. SG just there taking a cheap shot at Higgins there about accomodation when he has no control over where he stays it's done by the Dept of Foreign Affairs.

'channel a portion of it' ... to US 'charities' and Herbalife????

She was on both BBC and Channel 4 earlier, she's good at handling the media.

TBF, it's a change of pace from candidates who clearly have no knowledge of the president's role and limitations...

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,625 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

    Cavan

Right if he gets in the All Ireland Hurling final will be a novelty. Cavan not a hurling stronghold.
