and he tried to get her to ID Gerry as a member, balsy move, sadly she evaded it.

Kenny just left it hanging there, that's the end of any floating vote for her...

Duffy is some pain in the hole
I'd say he's gaining most in the polls ATM

I think her and Higgins will face a hit and Casey may walk away with a few more points after tonight.

Casey just referenced Sean 'picking himself up' there.

Did he go broke or lose his business?

Has Gavin Duffy actually answered any questions in this? To me it seems he's dodging everything thrown at him but I'm happy to be corrected on that

Audience seem to applaud anything said with sufficient emphasis. IMO clapping should be banned at these events, it just encourages platitudes and grandstanding.

What are the audience going to do - jazz hands? :p

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

    A not fecking audience members.

Good stuff Joan, people hate a bit of civility in a debate:rolleyes:

Ah Joan, Duffy was trying to make a point about society and modern politics, not "rescue" you. The indignant victim of mansplaining bit doesnt do you any favours

Duffy was being condescending towards her I thought.

As Francie said earlier, no-one making any significant impression here - Casey providing the soundbytes, but more heat than light.

... or just possibly, the aggregate effect of the "settled" community treating them like complete crap?

There is legislation obliging all LA to provide travellers with housing.

Is that treating them like crap?

Yeah its just laziness to be honest and those who lap up that sort of bollocks are the type of people who loath her for been on the no side in the abortion ref.:P

Love these debates. Pity there's not more dirt to be had.

Joan trying to come across strong but it just comes across as forced. And Joan does need rescuing, she's well out of her depth.

Has Gallagher gone home as soon as he heard there were going to be audience questions?
