It's a very similar situation to ours in the North not so long ago. Maybe you can set up hospitals and such at the border, but we all know you're too soft to do anything as genetic sellouts.

....as is only appropriate, when you make groundless accusations. You seem to be saying that you've no explanation for your stance save name calling and labelling.

How do you explain the map of the area now compared to 50 years ago? The map very very clearly shows Israel has expanded dramatically in that time and Palestine has shrunk dramatically, Palestine will continue to get smaller until theres pretty much nothing left and nothing can stop this. anybody who thinks otherwise may as well be believing that the earth is flat.

Those crazy israelis with their poll manipulations and vote rigging. A great bunch of lads.

They should probably just stick to robbing passports and Irish people's identity, it's far more effective for them.

    The big question really is,
What are yeh all going to do about it?
Easy sitting back being a bunch of Keyboard Warriors, but who can or Will do something about it??

As individuals we can boycott Israeli products.
At the minimum make sure politicians know we want them to support the occupied territories bill to boycott goods from the settlements on stolen land.
Spread the word, amazing how little some people know about palastinians and the hell Israel makes their lives.
Yes a boycott could be a good idea.
Would mean Israel earn less money.
Then they have to give Gazza less money.
As you know Israel funds Gazza for millions.
That will mean Hamas has less money to build tunnels to attack Israel and launch missiles.
It is estimated 90% of the money that is sent to Gazza is used by Hamas to attack Israel.

I remember such arguments from when they were used to oppose sanctions on Apartheid South Africa. They made no sense then, nor now.

You realise that Gaza is actually not the home of the majority of Palestinians? That hamas is in fact the smaller faction in Palestinian politics?

That poll is a joke. Over 8000 shares on facebook, over 96,500 votes since yesterday. Holding steady at 50% no. Who could be still voting like crazy at this hour on a weekend??

    Yes.
The Palestinians don't have a Homeland, they refuse to have one.
They want the land of Israel and to kill all the Jewish people in it.
You all know this and still support Hamas?
This really comes down to Jew hatred, can't be anything else.

Isn't this thread a little too sombre for After Hours?

    From the charter...

    What is After Hours?
After hours is the place to come on boards where general discussion can be light-hearted. The aim here is to have a bit of a laugh and not to piss anybody off while doing so.

Apartheid Israel has brought barbaric treatment to a whole new level

Isreal is the only democratic country in the middle east, jew and arabs live side by side with generally no hassle, gay rights are upheld, women rights are upheld....try being openly gay in an islamic country like Palestine and see what happens? you'd be lynched

that doesn't excuse what the Isreali army are doing, but calling it an Aparteid state is utter nonsense

Size isn't everything. That's the equivalent of the Guardian but even more left - it makes a decent, balanced paper look like the S*n.

You know more than the largest Israeli newspaper?

It's one of Israel's least popular papers with readership at a paltry 3.9% of the market.

that doesn't make what it is saying wrong however. popularity doesn't decide the validity of content.
i believe the sun is the most popular paper in the uk for example.

Apologies, I was mistaken regarding the paper's popularity.

In the occupied territories there are "settler" only roads and areas, and a two tier "justice" system, whereby "settlers" have access to Israeli law but their palestinian neighbours are dealt with by martial law administrated by the IDF. That there is apartheid.

Can you explain to me how a Jew and non-Jew can get married in Israel?

    (Clue:it's a trick question, they can't).

Can you tell me about the Israeli constitution?

(Clue:it's a trick question, they don't have one).

Israel is not a democracy and it is an apartheid state.

Recent legislation will also bring about Jewish only areas inside Israel to add to the Jewish only areas in the Occupied West Bank.

You might ask the Palestinian women if they feel their rights are being upheld.
I know the answer you'll get and so do you,
