    Hiya,

    On tonight's show:

Bertie Ahern and Senator George Mitchell two men who played crucial roles in the Northern Ireland Peace Process - but only one of them destroyed our economy and was exposed as having farcical cash in hand financial affairs and now wants to be President. To find out who I'm referring to, tune in later!

Pat Shortt off of D'Unbelievables and other things is on. He's doing a new film and a tour and stuff. Tune into Pat Shortt's Music From D'Telly tomorrow at 5.10pm on RTE1 to see a clip of the time Bibi Baskin interviewed music legend BB King. I'll forgive Pat a lot for making that happen.

Straight outta Kenmare come John and Francis Brennan who return to your screens on Sunday with another series of At Your Service. I gave John top billing as he occasionally posts on the At Your Service thread. Fair play, you rarely see Tubs or Darcy doing that. I would love it if they did

It says here some people called Jake Carter and Karen Byrne will be on because they allegedly won an obscure RTE1 Dancing Competition. This is news to me, and I doubt if you were aware of this so called 'Dancing' programme either. RTE should really publicise their own shows on their other own shows.

That's more or less it, probably someone from Cork winning the competition too

    Evening all :)

Tonight's show would be much more entertaining if Ray simply threw his cue cards in the air, picked them up at random, and asked the guest whatever was on that card...

To Pat Shortt... ''So Pat, tell us about your part in the Good Friday Agreement''.

To Francis Brennan... ''Tell us about your Jumbo Breakfast Roll''.

To Jake Carter... ''Do you feel your overspending bankrupted this country, to which we are still feeling the repercussions now?''

My mother and father are at a Cliona Hagan concert tonight, my mother didn't want to go saying "she is an auld yodeler" but my father finished the argument by saying "If she made it onto the late late show she's a good one".

Pat Shortt laughing at his own " jokes" does my head in.

Rory McIlroy going well in the Golf.

Tommie Gorman was doing a live report during that trial on the lunchtime RTE1 new where he referred to one of the defendants as "Rory McIlr ... my apologies, Blane McIlroy ..."

    that could have been embarrassing!

It's getting crowded back here, isn't it. I hope Ray doesn't try to get political and clever with Bertie. It'd be like watching a three year old trying to beat his father at football.

Pat Shortt laughing at his own " jokes" does my head in.

He laughs at everything he says even when they're not jokes

I heard that at the time. Never heard the man as flustered. He hadn't the time to rehearse his usual theatrics.

I'd say Francis has a nice china cabinet to rival yer wan from Room To Improves.

Anyone ever stayed in one of Francis's places?

We thought about it last year but the prices turned us off. Cheapest room was €240 and that room didn't even have a sea view. Think it was €300 for one of them. Those rates were for the middle of the week. Afternoon tea was more than the Shelbourne hotel in Dublin. It was €60 or thereabouts. We decided to go abroad instead.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in, in Ireland?

    The Lakeside Hotel in Killarney.

Absolutely beautiful...and their clam chowder is amazing. :)

If I had a guesthouse I'd offer a crate of beer for €100 to guests.

    Nice place, Kenmare. :)

    But, genuine question...

How do you pronounce it? Ken-Mar (as I have heard some people say it), or Ken-Mare (rhyming with nightmare)?
