Same. Kept meaning to check out Division 1 on game pass but it wasn't up for very long.

Is this good to play single player or is it all about co-op?

dont waste 2.99 dollar on division. Get a pac man for 1.99 dollar

it's very solid as single player, of course it is better with friends and is very strong in co-op but matchmaking is quite good too if you want to play with randoms

Yeah, I have really enjoyed it solo, only 1 missions really gave me problems Roosevelt Island, but I think they nerfed it for solo players since. Endgame is quite difficult solo. Tried a mission the other night and ran out of ammo in the first wave of enemies. Then joined 3 randoms and we flew through it, no problem. I've had no issues playing with randoms, they have always been on the ball to get through the level asap to get some sweet loot. Then playing with lads on here is always the best laugh. So, imo, you kind of have the best of everything whether it's solo or online you want to play.

The number one rule of endgame solo - get a good Sniper/Marksman rifle and play very tactically (i.e. run like fk when things get heavy, the game is very forgiving on how far you can retreat to draw out a fight). The Nemesis exotic is a stunningly good rifle, by far the best exotic (when compared to stock) I've seen in the game for it's class, completely outmatches the Marksman specialisation signature rifle. With the chargeup it takes some getting used to but can one-head-shot almost any enemy in the game. To allow for the charge-up time I highly recommend a build with at least Patience (armour gen in cover), it takes the stress off while you are charging the shots.
    2nd rule, carry a revive-hive :).

Have a peculiar issue lads - I'm on world tier 2 and I'm trying to progress. Black Tusk mission I need to do is Air and Space Museum before I can do anything else but I cannot change the difficulty from normal to difficult.

I can change the difficulty for all other missions other than this one - and I've done it 5 times.

Anyone come across this? Do I need to be at a certain gear score before I can do that mission on hard?

I'm still confused on what this game is. Sounds like a superhero version of division from those achievements. Sounds like it would be better if you could create your own hero like dc universe.

Tidal basin was epic! Episode 1 complete and currently at gs 487. Only have one exotic item, which i bought, so still no fancy equipment. An i better off crafting those or what way to get the top guns?

There are very few top guns in that few will stand on their own. There are the best guns for your build and playstyle. I'd say focus on gear first, see what works for the talents you like (balancing right now can be a tightwire with the perk type restrictions) then choose your guns around them. E.g. You might focus a build on tanky (armour, regen skills like Patience) but then find others like Compensated or Unstoppable Force that specifically help damage with high def/low offense perk builds. It'll take a while to optimise but that's half the fun. Unfortunately most of the high profile builds from sites and particularly youtubers tend to be PvP focused, so high damage/crit and little else. That works if you are always in a group who can pick you up when your 2-second burst to the back of some poor suckers head didn't do the trick but for anything else balance it yourself with what works for you.
My favourite and most effective build right now is what I call spank'n'tank, a good balance of regen and damage without extremes on either. I have builds that go to the extreme for damage and crit but I find them less globally useful every time I get bored and try them out.
It will take a while but as you optimise your build you will be working towards having ALL talents active at one time. When that happens you will have a very viable build regardless of the path you chose (the advantage of the perk to talent requirements, you will inevitably be forced into an optimum pattern simply by what can co-exist and you can eventually engineer from collected loot, it's a subtle template of sorts).
That said get the Nemesis exotic sniper, and the Chatterbox SMG. Very different weapons on different ends of the build type but both superlative for what they do.

Excellent thanks. I'm 498 now after some clan bounties with the boards crew so yeah, time to look at my build as I've just been thrown any old gear together.

If it helps here is my Spank'n'Tank build (sorry HDR washes out the captures)

    Part 2: Offense Stats

    502942.jpg

This is not a pitch-perfect build, there are some useless stats in there simply from specialisation extras or equipment I haven't been able to god-roll (e.g. Health where I want more armour for general use but also more Unstoppable Force damage). Still it can solo Heroic's (with care ;) ).

Additionally there are other synergies like a small healing factor on kills with the AR, that goes from minor to decent when Safeguard (150% healing on kill) procs, so while the build excels in cover it can still face-slam smaller mobs. Also I have the AR tuned for Accuracy and Stability versus raw damage as the holstered/passive perk of the Nemesis is to add 50% headshot damage to the secondary weapon if it has a zoom scope (and the 4x Elite+5% damage scope activates this).

What world tier/ great score are you? There are 2 free episodes 3rd will be available for free next week to non year 1 pass holders.

Look for Expeditions. 1st is dc outskirts and 2nd is pentagon. 3rd is Coney Island. They all extend the campaign story which bridges to the new expansion out in march.

    Sorry for late reply.

I am world tier 4 or 5 I have gear score 499 so what ever that is 5 I think isnt it.

Expeditions are at the helicopter at right of Whitehouse is it? Or am I completely wrong once again 🀣

Yupp, helicopter beside the white House but i then saw the new circles on the map North of the white House and you can fast travel to the new missions highlighting them in those circles.

Argos selling this for 11 euro and cex will give you 9 cash for it if you don't like it. I know it's a tenner on psn but in case anyone was looking for physical.

Is it worth jumping in now? Standard edition is €10 on PSN.

Still active, regular updates etc.? I never played the first.

Absolutely worth it. It's good as well that you can jump in and the campaign covers level 1-30 and you don't feel behind at all. By the time you get to end game, you'll be all caught up with other end game players.

Also, the first is definitely worth playing if you like this one.

Looking at the deals, the ultimate edition is €17, down from €120 and the Year 1 Pass is €7, down from €40.

    Tempted.

Finished the zoo stronghold from episode 1, another epic mission. I see the 3rd content from ep1, kenly college, isn't available til a later time. Does that open up now and again for community events?

Onto the pentagon and the goal of going from 498 to 499. I had a look at build and there are so many talents and possibilities, gonna think about it some more.

Edit: opened a cache and got 500 kneepads. When i equipped them, i went to 499. I unequipped them and i went to 498 so it does look like equipped items affect score and not just inventory.

Kenley college is not part of episode 1, it is part of the expeditions which are currently unavailable at the moment but should be back at a later date. Each episode consists of two main missions.

Yes, the score shown in your inventory screen is what you have equipped at that time. The score it uses for loot calculation on-drop is from your entire inventory (stash included) BiS.

So where we at for a raid run? I'm currently at 489 but have never really looked at a build, I'm guessing that 4 solid builds are necessary to have any chance at it?

    PS4

Also i don't have a weapon that i particularly like to use as my main weapon so If i use one i like it drops my level down, so need to fix that.

the build I finally settled on was an unbreakable LMG one. It did decent damage but unbreakable is crackers. I'm not sure if this has changed since I last played I'd need to do a bit of work on it, I reckon. I did have a skill build but wouldn't be as confident using it for end game stuff.
