I’d appreciate it if you didn’t plagiarize my posts to further your own close minded agenda, thanks.

Interesting how when I post the exact same thing as you it is "close minded". Assume your comment is also close minded then?

It’s the agenda you had in mind when you posted that’s close minded not the post.

It’s a thread about the presence of the crib being threatened because some one of a different faith put in a complaint about it.

But yeah it's those bloody atheists' fault

The endless sneering continues. They can't help themselves.

The sneering is coming from your side.

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

Would you care to explain your reference to bradford?

Yes, in Bradford there are two communities who live side by side and have nothing to do with each other. This has created huge tensions in the area, as was shown on a bbc doc a few years ago. It's all well and good for politically liberals on boardsie to scream 'racism' at anyone who dares mentions this, but it doesn't make it any less true.

Is that good enough for you, or would you like to continue your cross-examination?

I'm not on any 'side'. This isn't a game of football.

So when a hospital has a problem with a crib your first though is of a city in northern england with a multi-ethnic population?

    Very strange linkage there.

As I said at the time, it didn't take long for his actual agenda to appear.

Are you deliberately lying? You're starting to annoy me now. That comment was a response to another comment that praised multi culturalism. I'm not responding to anymore of your lies

Are you going to apologize for saying I hate other religions? Or do I have to report you?

And he said that because you stated
"Why do you want to be a multicultural wasteland where no-one belongs."

I doubt Bradford is the image of perfection, but its not exactly hell on earth now, is it?

Blatant lie or wishful thinking ?

Makes no odds as it will never happen .

Given the venom in this thread I can't say the theist side strike me as shiny happy people either.

It doesn't exist in many cultures and many actively oppose it in schools and similar. If the will of the few overrules the many I can't see how santa will survive.

Not sure how its a lie, I'm just saying that's the road we are on.

Santa and Xmas in its current form are quite recent. Are they not...

It's great to see Ireland moving forward and slowly becoming an all inclusive country. People from all walks of life can now feel welcome here, which would not have been the case mere decades ago when the iron fist of the catholic church reigned and many lived in fear.

Praise the Lord for progressive societies.

Had some parents tell their kids to tell other kids that none of its true as its not part of their culture or religion.

    https://tadmitsui.com/what-is-christmas-in-a-multicultural-society/

I'm sick of the commercialisation of it all. It's far worse than ever. The waste and environmental cost is enormous. I used to like Xmas. These days it feels so false and over hyped.

At some point we'll realise we've diluted our culture to the point just like in America one place feels the same as the next.

Why don't you just write 'Christmas'? Are you that petty?

The one looking for an apology? You'll be waiting a while.

You've lost the run of yourself in this thread with all the insults and sneering.

You might come for the Crib but its the sense of love you'll come back for.

Was there ever actually any update on this following on from the article in the OP? I assume cribs have been taken down or in the process of being taken down by this point anyway given Christmas is over.

Its just shorter to type. What difference does it make. How is am being petty?

    Xmas Tree, Christmas tree?

I assume you think I'm leaving it out because of your incorrect assumptions. Simply because I pointed out the how other xmas traditions (not always to do with religion) are also subject to consideration.

Christmas isn’t over until the 3 wise men come bearing gifts on Jan 6.
The cribs will be up for another week to 10 days after that.
Christmas only started on Christmas Eve night.
You’re confusing it with commercial retail Christmas that you worship which started in September.
Retail has now moved on to Valentines Day/St Patrick’s Day and creme eggs.

Well you could have just told us that you are a tree hugger... the economic case is also enormous. A lot of businesses would go broke without this season. But I guess that really wouldn't matter to you
