Ladies and gentlemen, welcome WWErewolf XX -WWE : The Monday Night War.

It seems inevitable that the synergy between the worlds of professional wrestling and boards.ie’s Werewolves game would merge together; both rely on the dynamics of good verses bad, with healthy doses of politics, backstage drama, off the rails story telling, and in-ring action..

The year is 1999, and one of the most bitter wars in wrestling history is in full swing. Three companies, each with their own distinct identities, attempt to woo fans with a mixture of incredible athleticism, car crash storylines and awe-inspiring superstars, who represent their brands with passion and respect. With workers and fans who declare sides must be chosen, the battle rages towards a bloody and violent conclusion, as the forces of WCW and ECW invade the megalomaniac giant that is the WWF.

However, all wars must have a winner, and today, the three brands must go to war against each other, and a victor must be declared. This version of Werewolf will focus around the fabled Monday Night Wars. But which side will emerge as the victors, and who will be consigned to footnotes in the history books?

    Let's meet our teams!

    Team WWF

    uav7JMn.jpg

Our brave heroes, a mixture of familiar fan favourites and some less-than-moral individuals, all of whom are uniting in a bid to protect the company they have put their blood, sweat and tears into. Team WWF is partially comprised of the following people.

Vince McMahon: The self-made billionaire, and the legendary visionary of the world of Professional Wrestling. Vince leads his collected superstars into battle. After all, no one is more capable of spotting which talent deserves a WWF contract, and who needs to hear his dreaded catchphrase "You're Fired!", more than Mr McMahon.

Triple H: The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, the King of Kings, HHH goes by many different names and titles. But he is perhaps most known for his backstage abilities. Hunter uses his backstage power to confront the booking team, and finds out if he's going over or not. He will know better than most if WWE are winning the battle, or if they've taken greater losses than they realise.

Stone Cold Steve Austin: When the glass shatters, everyone should be aware, because pissing off the Rattlesnake can have some very dire consequences. Although aligned with WWF, Stone Cold has the habit of taking the law into his own hands and hitting his devastating Stone Cold Stunner, leaving his victim staring up at the ceiling for the three count.

The Rock: The People's Champion, The Rock is a charismatic force of nature, unafraid of fulfilling the will of the people and making sure their fan favourites come out on top. No one works harder than The Rock to ensure Team WWF puts on the greatest show they possibly can, and he will work with anyone to ensure their enemies can smell what The Rock is cooking.

The Undertaker: The Dead Man has a very special connection to Parts Unknown, and is able to call on the power of the spirit world to grant him incredibly knowledge. It takes an incredible force to keep the Undertaker down for the three count, because The Phenom can no sell even the worst of finishing maneuvers.

Kane: The brother to the Deadman, and a monster in his own right, when the fires explode and his demented music hits, whoever he has chosen can only dream of the horrors they will face; will he burn you alive, electrocute your testicles or deliver his dreaded Tombstone Piledriver onto a steel chair? Regardless, there's no coming back from an attack by the Big Red Machine!

Bret Hart: The Canadian Hero himself, Bret Hart doesn't necessarily trust those who he is forced to surround himself with. Bret knows that crossing certain individuals can lead to him getting screwed. But Bret knows he should get as much advice as he can before he does anything rash, and so will seek discussions when he can, trying to weed out those he can trust from those who intend him harm.

Shawn Michaels: The fans love him but the Heartbreak Kid has developed a reputation over the years for being a bit of a nuisance backstage. Shawn only cares about himself, and will make sure to lay the blame for all his problems on everyone but himself. The Sexy Boy's big mouth may lead everyone to admire his charisma, but he's as prone to land himself in hot water as he is to help the team, especially if Bret Hart hears the rumours HBK is spreading behind his back.

Chris Jericho: Y2J may have started his career in WCW and ECW, but he has jumped ship to the fabled lands of WWF. Although he works hard every time he is in the ring, Jericho's storied history is hard to forget, and the fans speak fondly of his time as The Liontamer. Being the showman that he is, Chris Jericho has a wide array of dazzling moves, and his charisma cannot be ignored.

Mick Foley: Poor Mick has taken so many blows over the years, and has suffered so much damage in the ring, that he sometimes cannot remember who he is. Suffering from split personalities, Mick keeps his opponents on their toes, as they never know if they'll have to deal with the psychotic Mankind, the suicidal Cactus Jack or the cool cat pacifist that is Dude Love.

Kurt Angle: The Olympic gold medalist, and possibly one of the most gifted athletes ever to step inside the squared circle. Kurt has some of the smoothest reflexes around, and it is impossible to catch Kurt off guard; if he can win a gold medal with a broken frickin' neck, he sure as hell isn't going to be caught from behind in a backstage attack!
    Please Note:
There are other characters in play than those listed, members of Team WWF who stay in the shadows, and while the booking team want you aware of some of the characters awe-inspiring abilities, the above does not constitute a full outline of what each person is capable of.

There ARE some powers which require a set of circumstances to trigger. Some people are aware of their specific triggers, others know they have triggers but don't know what they are, and some are not aware of the full extent of their powers.

The booking team have angles and twists that they are keeping secret, so as not to spoil the viewers' shows. These will be revealed if and when the bookers feel appropriate.
    Team WCW

    7b2UWER.jpg

Team WCW are comprised of three members. They are...

Eric Bischoff: The leader of Team WCW, who believes controversy creates cash. He seeks to cause as much mayhem as possible as he leads his chosen few to victory, and much like Vince McMahon, is a visionary in the world of professional wrestling.

Hollywood Hulk Hogan: No one does backstage politics like Hogan does. The crowd love him, even though they know his actions are heinous, and still cheer him despite his allegiance to WCW. And as part of the nWo, one of the most dominate forces in wrestling history, Hogan knows just what he can to exert his creative control and make sure his opponents struggle to take him down clean.

Goldberg: Goldberg has one of the most devastating finisher combos of them all, and you had best not fall victim to his Jackhammer or Spear!

    Team ECW

    2gV692N.jpg

Team ECW are the plucky UnderWolves, and consist of two members.

Paul Heyman: The man with the silver tongue, Paul Heyman knows his team are at a disadvantage, but lives by a motto, "Accentuate the positives, hide the negatives". Heyman might not have the same level of talents available as others, but ECW has a strong niche following, which grows stronger with each passing day. Although he receives scouting reports on all free agents, it will take him a little while to make up his mind on which superstar to put his faith in and help carry his team to victory. Should he discover the perfect man to build his team around, can he discover a strong enough argument to convince them to make a pilgrimage to the Land of Extreme?

Rob Van Dam: No one flies higher than RVD, and if the WWF figures out a way to take down the Whole Dam Show the paying crowd disapprove of, like losing clean, ECW will have a backup plan to help them regain a bit of an advantage.
    Please Note:

Team WCW and Team ECW, on certain days, will compete for kills with an on-thread task. These tasks will NOT include any forms of hidden messages, grammar, gif posting or spelling mistakes.

    Kill Orders

Day Zero is a safe day for all WWF superstars, who are free to discuss the world of professional wrestling with each other.

Game begins officially with a morning munch on Day 1, at 11:00AM. The munch will be chosen by the team who wins their on-thread task.

There will be two munches on the morning of Munch 2, with both teams getting a kill.

Day 3 will see one munch, again chosen by the team who completes their on-thread task.

This pattern will alternate through the event (1 kill, then 2, then 1, then 2).

Lynches are every evening at 9:00PM. Votes must be registered before this time. Missed votes will be punished.

    Lynch Forum: https://goo.gl/forms/839qTcVy9arKIgfJ3

In the event of a "speed day", where the booking team decide to get things moving at a faster pace, all remaining participants will be notified as soon as possible.
    Rules

    1) Once you are killed do not post in the thread again.

    2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread. If you have any concerns about the game mechanism or the integrity of other players contact the mods who will make a decision. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere.

    3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in as a minimum.

    4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring to the content of them.

    5) Game starts with a pre turn, followed by an evil team slaughter to be revealed at 10am tomorrow morning and the lynch will be at 9pm. After 9 pm Sunday will be considered night 1

    6) If you've got any questions for us send a message.

    7) Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the lynch have to be made by yourself.

    8) Don’t be a sensitive soul. While boards own forum rules clearly take precedence over any in-game rules that we have, this is a game where people will be insulted, there will be some bad language and people will try to provoke a reaction out of each other. Please accept this is part of the game and don’t go annoying the mods with the report post button unless really needed.

    9) If someone misses 2 votes in a row without a good reason they will be modkilled by me and replaced with a substitute.

    10) DO NOT EVER EDIT A POST. IF YOU HIT THE POST REPLY BUTTON THEN LIVE WITH IT. YELLOW CARDS AND RED CARDS WILL BE HANDED OUT TO PLAYERS WHO EDIT POSTS.

    11) Have fun, make meme’s, take the piss and try to enjoy the game.

    Hello all.

Trying to get my head around all these initialisms. Game is called WWE. So, within WWE is WWF, WCW and ECW and these three companies are battling. Thats fine so far. But, Hunter will know better than most if WWE are winning the battle. Is there some bigger war to be waged than the intercompany battle between WWF, WCW and ECW?

WWE used to be called WWF, so those names can be interchanged

WWF, WCW and ECW are separate wrestling companies

Lots of roles, reading the op does it seem that the likes of Bret or HBK could turn from good guy to bad or am I reading that wrong?

Its possible, i thought one of them might be a good player who appears bad on peeks.

    Right, here we go.

Quality OP and premise. The WWF image gave me a full-force kick in the nostalgias.

Bra and panties matches, I totally forgot about them.

I remember Trish Stratus vs Stacey Keibler in a 'Bra and Panties Paddle on a Poll' match with Jerry Lawlor commentating. Mad looking back at it now...

The Attitude Era. It really was a different time :pac:

Sounds like Bret has a room he can invite players to, to sus them out. HBK I'm not sure about, seems to have some connection to Bret.

By the sounds of it, HHH is the seer and Taker is the priest.

If there is a vig it must be Austin

Trish Stratus has good taste in underwear :) If that happened now there would be war. Trish was my Diva! They dont make them like that any more

That makes sense actually, maybe something happens if he invites HBK into the room.

These are my thoughts on the op:

    Good/village:
Vince - ? seer of sorts?
    Triple H - ?
Stone Cold Steve Austin - vigilante?
    The Rock - bodyguard?
The Undertaker - priest? someone who can speak to the dead?
    Kane - has a kill
    Bret Hart - seer?
    Shawn Michaels - ?
    Chris Jericho - ?
    Mick Foley - the drunk?
Kurt Angle - takes more than one hit to kill him?

    WCW:
Eric Bischoff - reads like he wins if he gets killed
Hollywood Hulk Hogan - immune to something?
    Goldberg - has special weapons

    ECW:
    Paul Heyman - can recruit
Rob Van Dam - can talk from the grave?
