"SENIORS"handicap hurdles for 8 year olds and upwards do not feature on many cards in the UK but when they do punters should take notice.

Backing 8 year olds blindly in these contests has been very profitable with 8 winners from 45 runners to date.

The 12.40 at Newbury on saturday is a Seniors handicap and just 3 of the runners are 8 year olds,EQUUS MILLAR,HAUL AWAY and CHAMPAGNE CITY are the three and i think Champaigne City is very much out of form so i will discard that one.

In this race last year there were four 8 year olds in the race and they finished 1st, 2nd and 4th at 25/1 9/4 and 40/1 and the other 8 year old was brought down.
Equus Millar and Haul Away are 8/1 and 12/1 and i will be looking carefully at those two.

I see there is money now for champagne City in the 12.40 so I did the 3 eight year olds in an optimistic perm of forecasts and tricasts
