I'd forego all technology to have legs that fast :)

sub3 is huge, so best of luck with that.  I don't really like to predict times, not to people I know anyway, as so much depends on the day, temperature, how your last couple of days rest go etc. How them old legs feel when the gun goes.  All you can hope for is a good training program and then fingers crossed.

That's good news about the weather. I was expecting a mid-20's high by 2pm.

What’s the humidity like, be bearing that in mind to.

    Google's weather says 54% - but it's also giving a high of 23℃, whereas yr.no says 18℃.

It was 26 here in Basel yesterday and it will be in the twenties again today and we arent too far off Berlin usually weather wise.

Its 12 degrees now at half 7

Edit: I also checked for my start card and dont seem to have it even though I have loads of other mails from them. Just sent a query off to them there.

Sorry to hijack with a random(ish) query but does anyone know if the showers post-race are generally available / reasonable standard? (hygiene-wise)

I fly out on Sunday night and so may not be able to get a late check-out from the hotel, so just covering all options, cheers

Hi all.  Hope everyone is feeling well and ready to go.  Does anyone know if you can get someone else to pick up your race pack?  I know the instructions say no, and I assume that is correct as the Germans don't mess about with rules in general, but just in case anyone has had any other experience?

  • Registered Users Posts: 185 ✭✭mdlb

PB for me is 3:26:56 , target time is 3:44:59, would someone be so kind as to add to the table if possible... how to do this escapes me!

hope everyone is tapering without too much madness!!

I have seen it written in a few places and tour company also warned specifically - you must pick up in person, there are no alternative arrangements.

When i did this 2 years ago there were showers just after your bag check up. They were in like a large marquee tent on the road. There was a changing area and a shower area within. Being used to showering with a can of Lynx Africa at XC meets I found them to be plush.

I would inquire at the Expo as to what you can leave at the baggage drop as these places can be strict these days.
