So have Limerick improved or Tipp regressed? Hard to believe they weren't too far off an All Ireland final only three years ago.

Bill Cooper did not start today

The amount of mis placed passes from Cork today has been shocking. We have given away over 5 points by that so far and the game is not over yet.

If we were more accurate we would be ahead by now rather than 4 points down.

Ref has not helped us at all today either

Our defence looks solid one minute and next thing the ball goes in and there seem to be Tipp players free. How on earth does that happen?

Yet another mis placed pass. This time from Coleman

Blatant trip from a tipp player and no yellow card. Very annoying

Horgan held going in on goal and its a free out. Baffling from this ref

Blatant trip on Fitzgibbon too. Not getting anything from this ref today

    Terrible decisions..

Very good game of hurling. Hard to win with some of the sloppy passing, poor puckouts - partucularly second half-and lose marking in our full back line. Tip deserving winners but we certainly helped them.

Tip players certainly got a few frees softly while Cork players had to be well and truly fouled before getting one. In the last 15 minutes there were 3 stonewall frees to Cork that were not given.

Hoggie, 15 points, was awesome. Anyone questioning him and what he brings to the team know nothing about hurling.

We can play better, Páirc looked well too.

A strange game in that I thought Cork were not too bad but a lot of awful misplaced passes throughout. Tipp were more direct and it worked out for them. The awful ref and his decisions made a big difference. I noticed it early on and any Cork comeback was stopped by it.

Can't see Cork playing so many bad passes again. At least I hope not!

We were bad but that reffing performance was unbelievable. Never seen anything like it.

It was unbelievable. Tipp i thought derserved their win but some of those decisions that went against Cork could have made the game alot closer.

I don’t like saying it about one honest to god player in Christopher Joyce but I’ve said it before he’s just not the same player after that terrible injury. He was woeful today, time and again have the ball away. It’s a bad indictment of the team that there isn’t a young fella pushing him for his place on the team.

When Aidan Walsh is the sub ya bring on up front to try save the game, theres something wrong.

I'll hold off on commenting on individual players until later on

    Once again we were bullied

Can't win puck outs or rucks

We have not improved 1% in those areas

Meyler & Co far far far too slow to make positional changes or subs

Tipp were the better team and deserved their win but it has been quite a while since I saw a refereeing performance like that. Blatant fouls not given. Cork players deliberately tripped time and again and the ref grudgingly gave a couple of frees eventually but no cards. Horgan being wrestled with and he gave a free out! Unreal.

Problem for Horgan was that he charged at the defender in a clear effort to win a free. If he'd attempted to go past him rather than through him he might have won a free. And charging is a free.

Cork look to have a lot of problems and will do well to get out of Munster at all based on that performance.

He did try to go around him but as on tv the corner back had his arm wrapped across his shoulder which stopped him from doing so.

It’s only game one and there will be many twist and turns. Tipp are a lot better than last year. We have to get something out of next Sunday though or else very difficult.

Cork have a double incentive to beat Limerick next Sunday.

Questions have to be asked as to whether that referee was concussed after getting smacked in the head.

He didn't look concussed. He got up fairly fast after getting hit, but in saying that there were some shocking fouls not called. The puck out strategy should have changed when it was clear to everyone that pucking the ball down on top of Brendan maher wasn't working.

obviously it doesn't get much harder than Limerick in Limerick next weekend but we are not out of this yet. Clare got to the Munster final last year after losing to us in round 1.

Niall O'Leary one of the few positives today
