I'm afraid it's the lower number and that I'd be the bearer of bad news.. Yes yes I know big girls blouse and all that

No, that's fair enough, I wouldn't particularly want to be the bearer of such bad news either... is there anyone else at home who could double check her results for you?

My commiserations, that has to sting! :(
If it doesn't say that the course is full, then there's every chance that you'll get it second round though?

Oh god I would rather be 100 points off this is actually painful

You still might have a chance in round 2! Nobody knows with this new points system but the fact that the points can go down in increments of 1 means that there will probably be more round 2 offers than any other year.

Sadly I know that feeling all too well (I'm looking at you CAO 2012!)... it gets better, I promise!!
Did the CAO say that your course filled up in Round 1 though?
If not, then this is only a temporary blip until Round 2 :o

I know this sounds so stupid but under the circumstances I'm too heartbroken to care, but if you accept a level 8 it means you can't accept a level 7 right? Too frazzled atm!

You can't accept two at once, no.

You have a couple of days to think about it tho.

Ah yeah I'm aware of that much, thanks! Just meant in terms of once you accept a course on your level 8's does it mean your level 7's are null and void?

Does anyone have level 7 points for CIT?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,304 ✭✭✭Consonata

Do all courses usually drop in the 2nd round? being 1 point off is torturous.

As far as I remember, you can change your mind up until the round closes, but just as well to just sit back and make your mind up.

Trying to sleep is futile, so I came back here.

Just looking at the papers that have been posted here. Almost everything in NUIG has dropped by a few points, I know several people who are going to be happy with that. Undenominated engineering has dropped by 44 points, Podiatry has dropped by 37. My own biomedical engineering has dropped by 20 so I'm well in the clear.

    Just over 3 hours left
