This is the main event thread for the fight between Mayweather & McGregor.

All other discussion remains in the McGregor thread

    **THREAD RULES **

The thread is for discussing the weight ins and the event itself.

    1. It is not for dropping in to give your opinion on Conor McGregor or Floyd Mayweather and why you hate them or want to see them get knocked out. It is not for discussing how how if this was an MMA fight McGregor would destory him or who wins in a street fight, or how the fight is a farce or any of that other nonsense. There has been enough of that in the McGregor thread, if you want to discuss that sort of thing take it there. Basically if you arent discussing the actual event or the weigh ins then take it elsewhere.

    2. ANY nonsense in here and it is a ban, there are no warnings..those have been given in the other thread and this is there is a strict no nonsense policy in this thread.

Any trolling, goading other posters, back and forth tit for tat, personal abuse, fighter bashing or anything else against the charter and you are banned - plain and simple for a minimum of 3 days.

    3. If someone posts something they shouldnt just report it an move on, do not engage and get into nonsense back and forth or you will be banned also.

    4. Your only reason to be on this thread is if you are here to enjoy the fight no matter which fighter you want to see win. This is a big event with plenty of interest and people want to sit back and enjoy it, including myself. If you are here to troll, get a reaction or causing hassle then you will be leaving as quickly as you arrive.

I don't care if its your first post or your 1000th you have been warned, if you chose to ignore it you only have yourself to blame.

    5. If you receive a ban and decide to send a pm complaining it will not be even looked at till at least Monday after the fight so you have been warned.

    6. Do not ask about illegal streams - its that simple, no discussion. It is against boards policy and you will get a ban. That applies to asking about them, posting about them or looking for people to pm them. No discussion on them, end of.

McGregor looked pretty good. Bit sunken around the eyes but otherwise pretty good!

Floyd in the green paddypower boxers pretty funny.

Didn't see a twitch of fear in Floyd at all ;)

There was definitely a shot of something bulging in McGregor's cacks though!

Eh ok. Rattled:Sixpack. I dont get the analogy.

Visibly rattled when he got on there. Not happy at all with the boos.

Mayweather wearing heels again. Take a look at his runners in the face off.

    Stressed, rattled, doesn't matter.

I don't know what you were watching, or if you have seen a Mayweather event before, he always gets booed. Rattled my arse.

Different interpretations of the same event.

What were you getting at with the six pack comment though?

Just that when you are stressed you lose weight, it was a terrible attempt at sarcasm, I'm disappointed in myself.

Honestly thought Floyd looked the more relaxed up there, he has done this before.

Conor seemed a tad out of sorts, no idea how he ever did 145, he looked a bit gaunt in the face but he did cut some weight.

Interesting approach to the strategies anyway.

Jesus listening to Paulie on the Showtime panel is painful. Nearly every remark is a pointed jab at McGregor breaking the rules in his sparring session, specifically the "head holding". Judging from the Showtime panel they are scared if McGregor wins he won't be back to them for another boxing match, he will be laughing all the way into the HBO head office with Paulie screaming bloody murder from his twitter account. I can only hope.

How does Conor add 17kgs in 24 hours ?

    17lbs.

Most of the weight he has cut will have been water that he ''purged'' over the last 36 hours. He will put a lot of weight back on by simply taking in fluids which his body will now retain.

Conor looking pretty gaunt; haven't seen him like that since the Aldo fight. Roll on tomorrow.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 761 ✭✭✭GerryDerpy

I think it is a positive that McG had to dehydrate enough that he looks a little gaunt. John Kavanagh said before that the weight cutting focuses fighters.

Mayweathers shocked me coming in at 149, he's going to be at least 15lbs lighter than McGregor tomorrow night and that will be significant. Taking age into account aswell, this may be a lot closer than most people, myself included, would have predicted.

The cynic in me thinks how much does Floyd love money, a good fight and a close victory for either fighter or McGregor knockout sees a rematch and a doubling down in terms of money.
