Fights in California and their commission has been monitoring weights of the title fights for the past month, id sincerely hope there'll be no issues this time. DC looks a little bit leaner going by the videos but that doesn't mean much I suppose, all about the last couple of days before getting on the scales.

Ah had it in my head it was on in Vegas, ah anyway I'd say both lads are on the ball here. I'd be shocked SHOCKED if either messed be it weight issues or drugs. Actually I wouldn't be that shocked if Jones ****s up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Django99

I probably wouldn't be shocked but just so so disappointed. All the promos and interviews have been so good, press conference tomorrow should be good, just cannot wait for the fight. The fact that there's such a good card beforehand just makes it better. I haven't even really thought about the WW fights, and Lamas v Knight will be a great scrap too.

    For this fight no.

I hope DC gets the win just to take him down a peg and give him a reality check.

Some card! Always a pleasure to watch Robbie, hope he gets the job done! Serious test for Woodley too in Maia, that fella is scarily good on the deck.

Personally I want Conor & DC to absolutely smash Mayweather & Jones.

Say what you want about Conor and Daniel, they're human and not perfect, but they are fundamentally decent human beings facing off self-indulgent narcissists who have absolutely zero respect for women or anybody else for that matter.

    #WAR DC

He's not going away if he loses. I want DC to win, retire straight away (or even a rubber match first) and then Jones vs Gus 2 for the vacant title, Jones will win again then move up to heavyweight.

I'll never understand why some people want the woman-beater to beat Conor due to his 'personality' and likewise why people want Jones to beat DC. Mind you, we live in a culture where a convicted rapist in Mike Tyson is revered around the world as a 'legend'...

Anyway, I think DC will run through Jones - he can say whatever he wants but ring rust is a real thing unless your name is Dominick Cruz. Cormier will dump him on his head inside 2 minutes and this time he'll make the adjustment and clamp down on him. Rinse and repeat round 2.

I could see this being a 50-45 or 49-46 for DC or a 3rd Round stoppage.

I never said anything about a womanbeater beating Conor!

As for jones. Always was and always be a jones fan. Couldnt give a **** about his life outside the cage. I follow MMA for the fights not for the instagrams. I'm hoping the old jones is back...the one the can elbow you in the face from the other side of the cage.

Speaking of which, interesting his coach said "Jon has developed a new way of throwing elbows". God only knows what that means :pac:

Anyway, can't throw elbows if you're on the mat being held down by a tank :)

Have an awful feeling that woodley will ko maia. Such close match ups except for cyborg who is a banker.

I think the jimmy manuwa fight will be a cracker, one of them is getting knocked out

Woodley should be too powerful for Maia I think. Cant see Maia getting a proper hold of him and eventually getting KOed or TKOed.

    Hope DC wins.

I hope your right but I think it will be similar to the first fight.Jones has a huge reach advantage.

DC was saying that for the first fight he didn't train much in specific wrestling situations - such as against the fence - because he assumed his wrestling would be so superior, that he just focused on offensive wrestling in open space. He had never been taken down before that fight and blindly assumed Jon wouldn't be able to do a thing to him in clinch range.

He reckons this time around he has focused far more on clinch fence work etc and brought in specific sparring partners who have the 80+ inch reach and height.

I'm very confident in DC for this fight, kinda shocked he's the underdog given how bad Jones looked against OSP (bad relative to his normal best).
