    Received my feed back!
Have to say I'm pretty pleased!
The competition must be very very high!

Did you ask for feedback on your interview? Who did you contact - same email we sent the applications in to?

In that case you will get something. Did they note what location you would take?

I mentioned my preferred location as the reason for turning down the offer, but I don't think that was formally noted. I suppose peoples circumstances can change over 12 months so they just offering the next location option next time and work through the panel again.

May I ask please how you got that feedback please? What do I need to do to get mine? Thanks a mill!!

Yes! I emailed the lady who sent me the email, to state where I had placed on the panel not the email we sent applications to!
They send back a score sheet to say what you got out of 100 in each competencies or 150 in the case of specialist knowledge.
They also send a break down of questions you were asked under the competencies and a brief summary of your answers!
Handy to have going forward :)
Just to note I emailed looking for my feedback as soon as I received the email to say where I placed and I received the feedback this morning.

    Congratulations Densey12.

How far along are they with ringing people? Did anyone get a phone call yesterday? I know that they were up to 110 a few days ago.

Hi , I'm in the 120s and nothing yet. I rang during the week and they said ring back on Fri/Mon to give me a better idea of the movement on the panel.

I emailed and she said it's a waiting game. I'd love to know if they will call me in this batch because I am in a horrible office! fingers and toes crossed. best of luck to all

Thanks, yes we will just have to wait. i probably won’t get a call when in 140-150 range if they have not phoned people in 120’s.

Also they must have filled the quota for classes at this stage for January. Horrible not knowing but nothing we can do only wait and hope for best.

    Good luck to all!!

Sorry to hear locations don't suit you. I'm hoping for Dublin but am 130+

Sorry to hear that's a pity. I'm.in 130+ too. It's hard to know if I'll make the 1st batch for Jan training. It will prob be September. Did you hear how many batches for each region? Obviously lots of refusals if the 3 locations are still on offer.

Guys for those of you who have already moved onto the referee check phase, and has anyone heard anything back from them yet. I sent all my docs last Monday and received them back on Thursday, but my referees havn't been contacted yet. Wondering are we all still on the same boat, or if they tell us anything after they've talked to our referees? It will have to be quite soon to know for sure we have a job as the starting dates are 2/1 and 8/1.

Also for those of you still waiting I know for sure there are still offers on the table for a few people who have neither accepted or declined them, so would not yet give up hope.

Hey that seems to be moving on fairly quick. What number where you? Where you offered the 3 areas also? What location did you pick?

Was in mid 50s. Chose Dublin would have preferred something more north of Dublin, but looks like only three locations were offered and decided to take one with the hope of moving to another location eventually.

Good stuff well done, oh right so mount street/ Lansdowne or o Connell st?
Well that's it, sure yiu will be in training school first 3-6 months more than likely.

Can anybody tell me what the training programme consists of?
What level of accreditation is it?

I am due to start in January and cant seem to find out much information on the training?
I am a part qualified accountant and I am wondering will the training be intense and should I park my accountancy exams for the time being( few months)?
Also I am completing the green cert at present and would I have too much on my plate to sit and accountancy exam in March or June?

James, I have heard nothing either, I sent in my certs etc. on Monday so they had them Tuesday and got them back in the post Thursday, no contact with my referees yet, surely something will happen this week,

3 months training, week on week off, I would imagine the weeks not training might be shadowing?? As for the qualifications its done through UL, if you look at their website you will see the 2 main courses which are Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Taxation and Level 9 Degree in Advanced Taxation. It also shows the subjects and semesters.

Hi, does anyone know If the only three locations available will be Dublin, Cork and Kerry? I am from Donegal and was not able to do the long commute to any of these locations.

Those three seem to be the only options right now, but it is a national competition, so I suspect further locations may be offered during the lifetime of the panel (ends Oct 2018). Other posters have suggested their is a January and Sept training intake, so if that holds true we may be waiting a while for the next call...

I'm also holding out for Donegal. Where are you placed on the panel (approx)?

I spoke to a friend in revenue who said that one year they ran a course in April as well as September. Depends on how urgent they need staff I suppose.

Thanks for the information. I am placed between 10-20 on the panel. Hopefully positions in the Northwest will open up so we can all get placed. Do you know If you can apply for the 2018 competition when it opens up even though you are on the 2017 panel? I presume so but it seems like as we have already completed the interview process that they would not waste resources completing interviews again for the same people.
