On here, we're all studiously avoiding the subject so far.

We all know the virus is out the door as a news story and the BLM protests (agree with them or not) have made a mockery of the lockdown worldwide.

They're saying here today that they are going to significantly ease travel restrictions sooner than signalled, that's good IMHO but they couldn't realistically keep the travel restrictions what with Spain and Italy looking for tourists now and thousands gathering around the country here for protests - without social distancing.

Social distancing is the key to suppressing virus spread and the protests made a mockery of that, also.

Personally, I think the US agitators have failed to hijack the protests successfully. We all know the aims of antifa anarchists and I'll bet they believed the revolution had come. But the BLM pushback against them has broken their dreams.

We will have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to see how the protests have affected new cases and I'm hearing business owners get really agitated about this - they worry about being closed for longer.

And remember, it was middle-class people stealing from ALDI/LIDL in Italy.

And to the far east, but the recent pandemic has proven what folly it is to pack your manufacturing off to China, people have been saying it for decades, but the money men don't care, if they can make another whopping profit.

Really sad to hear of SIG going. During the celtic tiger madness, i was lucky enough to be able to buy an X5, in .40. It was perfectly engineered and finished, couldn't see a machining mark anywhere on it. A real premium product. Expensive, but you get what you pay for in this world.

Even Glock have a large plant in America, if you want to tender for military contracts, you have to manufacture there. The Americans also have an attitude that if something is not made there, don't buy it. They support their manufacturing, unlike the Irish which have become a race of usurers.

Alot of guns are being made in turkey now too they're making everything from shotguns to a plethora of roller locking guns MP5,G3 clones etc
ATA also started making a bolt action called the Turqua which has a guaranteed 1 moa

Anyone have to misfortune to buy a sunday paper ? The "Price of the green deal" is on the cover of most of them, sunday Indo included, complete with eamon ryans smug mush. Everything is being hiked carbon tax, motor tax, fuel duty, you name it. The only crumb of comfort is this is the greens waterloo, just like labours when they got into coalition with FF. No one would touch them after that.

Even when the Irish public finally realise their dreadful mistake of voting in the Watermelons again, the damage will be done again irreparabily when they are turfed out of govt again in the form of more taxes on anything that moves.:(:( You wont see FFG or any of the others rush to abolish any of those "green taxes " either. There will be some excuse on "the UN mandates it to prevent Global warming,or some other hoax."

True grizz. Maybe we should do an Irish version of Seattles Chaz ? Its great, no police, law and order, the police station was looted and burnt, you have to pay to get in, pay to get out, all with the democrat mayors blessing. The world is unravelling, so why not here.

We really are fierce bad at rioting here alright.
I put it down to the fact we are such a small country, and the fat that without a doubt were we to face off against the AGS ,Army or POU.We'd proably be hopping bricks and Molotovs off a cousin twice removed or the neighbours down the road nephew. As every family does have someone in the Gardai or the army ,somewhere:P As a Russian once said "Ireland is too small and Russia is too big for easy revolutions."

Looks like the "Summer of love" in the seattle "Chaz" is coming to an end. The "warlord" Raz Simone who contols the place is driving around in his Tesla handing out ar-15's to complete strangers. This is illegal under laws the democrats brought in, but they support this zone .

Also the hell angels, mongols and other biker gangs say they are going to head there to clean the place out. The world has gone completely mad.

    Well, looks like we have some interesting info on The Guardian in the UK that will fastidiously be ignored;

Sky News Australia have made a video that shows the paper that's been celebrating protesters throwing Coleston's statue into the drink because he owned slaves was itself.......founded from the profits of slavery.

And while I'm at it, I found out while watching a video from the US academic Thomas Sowell that Irish peasants in the 1820's and 1830's had less to eat than slaves in America.

And that was before they starved to death in the next decade.

So, we all have our grievances - even the English, who were subjugated by the Romans.

The Irish history Facebook page Trasna na Tire had a lecture the other night about the execution of Tom Williams, of the Belfast Brigade of the IRA who was hanged in the Crumlin Road Gaol for his involvement in the killing of RUC police officer named Patrick Murphy during the Northern Campaign 1n 1942.

It's somewhat ironic that a person with a British surname murdered somebody with an Irish surname in the name of Irish nationalism.

That will be intresting if they do.Both of those groups are no pushovers and are well used to disipline and taking and giving orders in their heirachary. They also have access to money, and military grade hardware if needed. If they move into and take out CHAZ.THEN there will be a genuine autonomous zone in Seattale and a bunch of snowflakes and kids are going to discover what slavery and real sexual assault is like first hand. Its time that this liberal dipsht governor calls an end to this before someone gets badly hurt or dead.

Nice too that this autonomous zone still has free electricity, internet connections, cell phone coverage and water and sewage. All provided by the fascist nazi and generally evil stste of Seattle and the USA.
Place should be cut off entirely from all of the above.See how long they hold out then.

Why would the electricity/internet/phone coverage be free? Or provided by the state by that matter.
AT&T don't care about their protest, they'll get bills like everyone else.

None of the demands involved independence from the US as far as I know - I haven't bother to read the demands. Bunch of idiots. Handing out ARs to kids. Running around waving guns wearing mask. How could that go wrong.

A bunch of boozed up and high kids with AR's. If you look at the kid in the video, when handed the AR, he hadn't the first clue what to do with it, or how to operate it.

Any paper that has the likes of George Monbiot, Owen Jones, and Fintan o'toole writing for it deserves any flak they get.

The key word is AUTONOMOUS!..If you have declared yourself that you are saying you are independent and do not want to have anything to do with the US.So therefore the US should have cut off those facilities, and seeing that the residents of CHAZ did a the veery thing they are blaming Trump for doing.IE they built a barricade or wall to mark their "country" ,"zone "or whatever. They should be contained there in by State and Federal forces of the US. IOW Why is the US still providing these facilities to a new country?
And YES their garbled demands and sinage on their wall suggests they want to be an independent "country"

    That's not what autonomous means.
Autonomity and independence are not the same thing.

None the less, announcing you are autonomous or independent, doesn't make it true. That should be obvious.
