The home (palace) of the Mc closkeys in St.Louis, who appeared out the front of their property with a pistol and an ar15 to confront BLM protesters, have their home raided at 5 in the morning by police who confiscated their firearms. The NRA have done and said..................absolutely nothing.

I read that they took yer man's rifle but left her with her pistol.

Publicising that the man had his gun removed is pretty much leaving the man a sitting duck in my opinion.

I wonder what law he broke, if any? I thought you could protect your life and your property over there. I personally don't think the couple did anything wrong, apart from yer wan's poor trigger discipline.

They took his rifle but the pistol had already been handed over to their attorney, so they could not seize that. I believe that they came for both.

Missouri "Castle Doctrine" is some of the strongest 2nd amendment supporting, but this is being done as a stunt by the DEMOCRATIC Kimberly Gardner, circuit attorney in St. Louis.

Apparently NRA have not been asked to assist, yet, (are either members of NRA?) in a keep your powder dry situation.

The pistol was a complete piece of junk that apparently is incapable of firing. A raven arms or some other brand of potmetal saturday night special. There have been protests outside the Mc Cormack mansion and they have hired a private security firm.

"Brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner" is what they are going to try and nail them on. Would have been fine if they had appeared on their property with the guns held but not pointed at the rabble. Not to mind Mrs Mac Clowsky keeping her manicured snot hook on the PEW! switch!:P

And without starting a bannable post or discussion here. THIS IS WHY just having the gear and no idea of the laws pertaining to self defence with a deadly weapon anywhere in the World is vitally important,as well as planning for, during and after the event. Also,as attornies they should have both boned up on those laws too elating to St Louis.

OTOH,there is nowt stopping them from popping off to any gunstore and purchasing replacements. They have no felonies, obviously, they are not as of yet charged with anything, been arrested, indighted,or otherwise had judical processes done to them.
Nor are they too worried the3%ers and oath keepers are providing armed security,as most other private security services ,crapped themselves and ran away.
Oath keepers , for those not in the know. Are former and current military and law enforcement personel, who still belive in the oath they took to protect the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, even when they have left "govt service"is still valid.
3% ers are basically the same kind of people but belive that it only tkes 3% of a pouplation to dissent from Govt diktats for a revoloution to occur. They base this on the American revoloution,in whic only 3% of the pouplation supported the independence army of Washington.

There was a fair bit of provocation to be fair.

The crowd had just illegally broken through a gate and trespassed on private property and weren't exactly wishing 'Good Morning' to the McCloskeys.

    But I take your point.

I think it's supposed to be the amount that took up arms, rather than the amount that supported Independence. As I'm sure there was plenty of support among non-combatants. Women, children eldery, etc.

No idea if 3% is an accurate figure though. Depends if you count the slaves as citizens I suppose.

Very correct that point. It was how many fought in the Continental army.
The whole issue of "slavery" in the US is quite interesting and definately not a black/white issue ,if you'll pardon the pun.As to what we were taught in school.

Easy. Just point your own gun at them when they aren't expecting it.

I'm troubled at the prospect of this upcoming $400Bn Chinese investment in Iran over 25 years that's nearing agreement.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/11/world/asia/china-iran-trade-military-deal.html

China gets guaranteed oil at a discount, Iran gets investment and co-operation, including military/intelligence.

Anyone want to start a list of countries that are going to have issues with this?

Answers on a brown envelope, please.

RE The Mc Clowsakis in St Louis.
Lets see how this plays out in CA when the State prosecuter's hubby responds at 05:30 AM to a seemingly civilised BLM demo on their front porch.

The Chinese are buying up everything worldwide, Property, companies, mining interests etc. Some say so what, but who wants to live in a world where a communist dictatorship with an appalling human rights record is calling the shots ?

The "Forest Rambo" as the German red tops are calling him.
Strange, but maybe not. That four police officers get a call about an "armed man" hanging around a Summer house, act all lackadasical while interviewing him and seem to totally drop their gaurd when it all seems in order and the guy is co operating.Until one of theirs had a pistol stuck in his head!

If you are making a living by carrying a gun and a badge.NOTHING is ever normal and peaceful or routine. The biggest killer of LE in the US is the "routine traffic stop" incident,so how much of your gaurd and "Spidey senses" be in overdrive when you geat a call about an "armed suspect"? Routine is a killer in police work.
As for this guy,I think he could give them a run for their money.although Germany is densely pouplated, and its forests are well roaded and paved and there is always someone about. They are big and very dense and still primeveal in some parts, ike the Black Forest and some of these German survialists/bushcrafters/weekend gureillas are damn experts on their turf in knowing every cabin, dog house, outhouse and culvert. So it will be intresting this.

It's really not difficult to imagine. As BC and G45 said above.
He just has to catch them on the hop. Point a gun at one, and the others comply.
The stuff where the lead character is physically disarming (or even dismantling) multiple people one by one is fantasy from John Woo movies. Looks great on camera, by people are less likely to play the part of Lacky No.3 when playign for keeps.

Yeah it’s just that I didn’t expect them to be such push overs. By surrendering to your man they put themselves in a much worse position and if he wanted to, he could have killed them all. To be fair though it’s not just the German police who are having a bad time with guns, the Gardai aren’t doing too well either especially with the murder of Detective Horkan and with an armed Garda accidentally shooting himself.

Hate to say it,but I think the routine and complaceny issue contributed to the deaths of Garda Mac Cabe,Horkan and Donahoe.:(:(

Trump oks the sale of US made silencers outside CONUS:)
TBH I prefer the European designs,as I dont have to silence full auto most of the time.

No harum really. Ireland has been notoriously pro-EU because it has been able to endlessly milk the single trick of allowing US megacorps access to the single market while paying feck all tax.

With that trick gone people might start to change their minds about the EU
