Who plays who in the semis ?

Cork or Galway vs Waterford or Tipp. Quarter finalists and provincial winners separated

It will be a Tipp and Waterford final.

Galway haven't been tested at all, when the heat is on and they have to wear the favourites crown they will do what they do year after year - disappoint.

Cork are very young and even their management are hugely inexperienced at this level. I would put them ahead of Galway at this stage as they've come through 3 battles of games.

Tipp will get back to Croke Park and all will be good again in their camp, if they start rolling they'll steamroll Cork or Galway and Waterford won't fear Galway at all, why would they? They have the Indian sign over them in Championshop hurling and I've no doubt Waterford will beat Cork if they face them again.

Hopefully thats the attitude Waterford will have if they get Galway. Can see Galway beating them by 5-6 pts if they meet

I can't help feeling that the element of surprise is gone from them. Hard to see Davy being able to evolve them into a better machine even with D1A hurling. Your not talking Jim McGuiness here. Yes Waterford had more experience which was the deciding factor but Wexford still persisted with a sweeper despite losing as Tyson said.

you cant utalise a forward line playing that stupid system that fitz plays , waterford didnt play with 6 forwards so why did wexford need one in the first place ? the honeymoon will be far shorter next year for davy

    Wexford are not this level.
Media darlings, giant bandwagon fan base.. but they're not good enough to be AI contenders..

True, but that was obvious really. Having watched the Leinster Final I never thought Wexford had a chance today.

I've been very impressed with Galway so far and agree with their favourites tag. There is something different about him under Micheal. They are a very focused group of lads, physically strong, seemingly very quiet up there. little fuss about the league or leinster win. Like all those years of playing Kilkenny, we will have to bring a huge intensity to have any chance against them. Even under Cunningham, Galway tended to be erratic.

More clueless forward play by a Davy managed team. Give it time and the Wexford fans will see the mediocre manager Davy truely is.

absolute fraud , how have wexford improved from last year either , they are terrible
Clearly improved ffs. To be fair to Davy he's said from day 1, after both promotion and beating Kilkenny in Leinster to keep expectations low and that there's plenty of work to do yet.

Couldn't ask for much more than what he's delivered this year. Individual errors lost this game, it wasn't Davy.

Bigger players like Chin and McDonald haven't been anywhere near their best this year. Chin has had one good game against Kilkenny and three poor ones against Laois, Galway and now Waterford. A team like Wexford with little strength in depth can't afford that unfortunately.

The happiest supporters today are Cork and Galway fans. We have nothing to fear. Tipp and Waterford are two mediocre teams.

Nothing is guaranteed in sport. Any of the 4 teams have a chance of winning now.

Waterford have a young squad with bags of potential but their system of playing will yield nothing. The rope a dope strategy will only work so often and now they have to find someone that will do the job as effectively as TdB. They could make an All ireland final but i dont think any of the 3 remaining would fear playing them in it. i wont rule them out but yes i agree they are still short of what is required.

Waterford/Cork would be a 50/50 and Tipp Cork would be a 60/40 in favour of Tipp so thats rubbish.

Galway Waterford probably a 75/25 and Galway Tipp probably a 55/45

Galway be worried meeting Waterford as they haven't beaten in championship.

Cork be worried meeting Tipp too. Hard one to call who will win it out.

to be fair wexford were awful today , mainly because of the stupid system they had to play , the scoreline was flattering on them today also , at the same stage last year waterford beat them by 10 points , today lost by 4 with a last minute goal , in a game they were never going to win

that might sound blunt but thats where wexford are in my opinion , they have'nt came close to beating a top team this year and i can assure you the people in kilkenny do not regard themselves as a top team this year

maybe a more direct manager will improve wexford and make them challengers again but fitz wont he's tactics are to negative to gain progress against the big teams

Even after Waterford went down to 14 men, Wexford played a sweeper. Thats on Davy.

Before the draw takes place tomorrow Waterford are at an advantage as they cannot draw Tipp. The odds on cork or Galway winning the AI will go out which ever of them draw Tipp.

They have the best penal left in it, just ahead of Waterford.

They're also at a disadvantage, as the worst team remaining.

Thought the ref was very poor. Flashed yellows all day but still lost complete control of the game. Then sends a lad off for handbags on the sideline. That's the last we'll be seeing of him I hope.

Horgan will ref the AI this year so prepare to be disappointed.

And he was streets ahead of yesterdays referee.

Pretty much each individual Wexford player was poor today bar O'Hanlon, Murphy and Liam Ryan. Still managed to only lose by 4 points. Mainly thanks to the system if anything that it wasn't a double digit defeat.

It's an average enough group of young players that on their day with everyone playing at their peak can cause some problems. Davy's system isn't the problem. Without a sweeper today Wexford concede another two or three goals. Devereux was getting destroyed all game. They don't have the players to win their individual battles back there so need the extra man.

People love to have a go at Davy at every opportunity but it's the players at fault today. If Chin and McDonald aren't at the races Wexford have no plan B because they don't have the players to step up. Liam Og McGovern a big miss.

Without TdB in the next game i could see Waterford getting chewed up and spat out. Dont see their back six coping without his coverage. They couldnt have lost a worse player to a red.

Ah now, we are not tearing up any trees and our defence is absolutely woeful. No one will fear playing us.

While i agree with the lads on the sweeper system i kinda agree with Davy here too on the fact that Duignan has been picking and choosing his things to condemn.
