What has 2015 got to do with anything? If that were the yardstick Kilkenny would still be there since they won that year. Galway made the final in 2012 and didn't kick on. They made the final in 2015 and didn't kick on last year either.

I can't seem to help you if that is your argument it's the nucleus of that team with a few players brought in from 15 new manager unlucky last year.
Your argument seems it's a new 15 every year by the way you are presenting it.
So past performances have nothing to do with the championship every year is that your point of it is then the AI is a lottery every year.
So you are not rating galway on anything else only the three games this year?
And corks from this year and forget everything that has happened in the last 3 years of AI hurling?

If Wexford can put in a decent performance today im expecting them to beat waterford. Apart from Cork all other munster teams have been no more than average and riddled with issues. The common denominator here for both these teams is Kk and wexford dealt with that challenge far more impressively than waterford did.
Wexford have more fire power and if Liam Ryan and Chin can put in big performances I think they'll come away with the win.

Physically they can match waterford too, which they couldnt do with Galway and I think Davy is possibly better tactically than McGrath. They havent had to try to bounce back after a week and are in bonus territory while waterford are under pressure to make a push for the final.
    Wexford by 4 for me.

I get your point about past performances but what I don't understand how Galway have gone from being regarded as one of the pack in recent years/last year to the title being "theirs to lose". Logically that shift can be explained only by what they have done this year (otherwise people would have said it last year) which is of limited value in my view. Galway's progress through Leinster could be argued to have been facilitated by Kilkenny's decline as much as any improvement in Galway due to match practice. They have not beaten anyone in this championship that they would not have been expected to beat five years ago.

In my view the skyrocketing of Galway's rating is to do with the desire of people to always have a definitive opinion because they picking this stuff up all over media rather than Galway having produced compelling levels of performance against powerful opposition.

Not a chance Wexford beat Waterford today.

The Wexford team is flooded with bang average players, Lee Chin apart, and they blew their load after 40 minutes in the Leinster final. Yes they'll match Waterford physically but I'm not sure what intercounty team can't match another in this day and age so I don't get your point.

Wexford weren't that impressive in beating Kilkenny and I think the way Waterford responded in extra time was hugely impressive, lots of pundits and columnists around the country thought the same. Today's match will be a tough, attritional affair but I would expect a Waterford team, far superior to Wexford in almost every position, to win out by 5+ in the end.

Wexford just about hanging in here. No real attacking threat, just trying to contain Waterford.

Wexford will need 3 goals to have any chance of victory.

Will he blame the players again? It's in area between 45 and 65 at blackrock end, same as yesterday.

All too famiar from Wexford here..

They do well in Leinster(well as expected in Leinster really, KK this year were a shadow of themselves)
The bandwagon that they're true contenders get a rolling..
They get to a QF and face a proper team, after defeat in a Leinster final, and they go out again..

    They're not contenders really..
They need a year like Clare in '13 where everything goes right..

    Marty loves his county geography.

when he dose a clare game he usaly includes the townland or street that the clare player comes from , and if thats not enough where he's mother is from , its infuriating

Didn't get to see any of yesterday's match but PUC looks great. The acoustics seem off though. It's sounds like a Cumann ná mBunscoil match out there.

That last point for Wexford was a peach.

again the big question on wexford is can they sustain the pace of the game and stay in touch for the full 70 minutes , in all there games this year they have died in the last 15 minutes against better teams , ie galway in the leinster final and tipperary in the semi final of the league

For a team with a sweeper, Waterford are really just long ball merchants.

No goal threat whatsoever, hard to see how either team could win an all Ireland
