Have gotten to 508 moons in Mario and decided to start BOTW while coming back to Mario here and there to get more moons. Spent about 40 minutes playing BOTW last night, seems good. :)

It will probably take me months to complete with work being busy and having a 5 month old. However the Switch hardware is ideal for a busy lifestyle, was playing it in bed in the dark last night with earphones in!

No, what will happen is you'll die from sleep depravation, because you'll start offering to settle the baby almost every time it wakes 'cause it buys you 20 minutes in Hyrule.

So, what was up with it in the end??

He never enchanted the dock at the correct shrine!! :o:o

It was a TV issue and Fieldog wasn't far off the mark either.

Would not recognise the switch in automatic mode at all.

In 1080p it recognised the switch in the dock through the hdmi but no picture, just Nintendo showing on the source.

    480p was a non runner.

720p, manually selected and a full reboot before going back in the dock, sorted it out.

I didn't go near the TV settings as its not my own and Uncle Mclovin can play around with those in his own time but he can at least enjoy his switch on the TV now. :)

Baby slings are the way forward

When the baby wakes at 5am, into the sling and on with the Switch

Brownie points and a good gaming experience :)

Ah lads, enjoy the littlies when they're small. There's loads of time for games later :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Yeah but the baby's first words will be "**** you, ****in' ground ****in' pound!"

@Fixxxer - when you're settling them you can't enjoy them, it keeps them awake when you're cooing over them. You need to be unselfish and let them go to sleep. Switch can help you do that. They're snuggled up listening to your soothingly pounding heartbeat - it's a win win

Just get them playing Dark Souls early, that way when they hit secondary school and find that game doddle they will be worshipped as gods by their mates..... or not....

Does anybody have any suggestions for a good battery pack for the Switch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,946 ✭✭✭McLoughlin

Anyone order the Bayonetta 2 pack for Japan ? What is it costing you ? Cheapest I got is 150 quid including postage which was about 40 quid. Still looking to see if i can get a cheaper option but it seems postage is the bringing up the cost.

I think he's saying it cost him 150 total to import it, 40 of which was postal charges.
Which is a lot of money for a Bayonetta 1 cartridge.

When I think Bayonetta special edition I'm automatically thinking sèx shop

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Y'see now I'm imagining all sorts of on-theme latex-based packaging option and the kind of manky ways you'd open them to get the cartridge out. And where I'd hide it after I inevitably bought it.

And a gameplay instruction video where Bayonetta whips you(literally..) into shape

The europe release Bayonetta Special Edition is around €80 but only has Bayonetta 2 cartridge and digital download code for Bayonetta 1.

The Japanese only release Bayonetta Non Stop Climax Edition has both Bayonetta 1 and 2 cartridge and costs around €110 so €30 for an extra cartridge and steelbook case.

I think €110 for two big games is a fair enough price even though they are ports.

The problem I am having is high postage costs from Japan which is bringing my order up to €150 could go cheaper but from experience with postage from Japan your better paying the extra few quid.

you'd be better off buying an Anker Powercore as it'll charge anything that will take power from USB and not have it just power the switch.

    Finally got a pro-controller today.

Why did I wait so long? What a lovely piece of kit.

Yeah it's excellent, I never use the joycons because of it.

It's weird an indie game with more basic controls I'll play on handheld all day but stuff like Zelda or any game that requires precision of the triggers I have to use the Pro controller.

Anyone having trouble with the estores?

Trying to buy from the Canadian store, it's asking for a Zip code, T1X1E1 is what I'm using, it's in Alberta.

The CC details page just keeps refreshing on me

Was there any truth in the Xenoblade Pro Controller being a updated model.
