Nobunaga's Ambition. It's a grand strategy game set in feudal Japan. It has already been released in Japan on the Switch and I'm nearly sure it was on that original Switch poster showing upcoming games.

Has anyone heard about a western release? I can't find anything online.

    Looks amazing alright

I forgot how much fun Raid Mode in Ressy Revelations 1 is! Played it to death on 3ds years ago. Playing it with a friend is brilliant. So glad I picked it up.

Anyone else pick the physical version up?

It should do, the last 3 came west, they are very complex games, the series has been on the go for 35 years now.

    Do it

Eagerly awaiting this cheque...I've convinced myself at this stage :D

Have to say though, pricey machine for effectively a console and no games. Bit annoying I'm stuck into looking at CEX for this. Even looking at the general bundles prices if I just bought it straight out, been to disappointed with Nintendo over the years to drop 300+ on their consoles : /

Think I'll need to do a bit of digging through the threads, under the impression that there is other accessories or things you also need to buy straight of the bat?

Pricing and being an early adopter for Nintendo was what put me off in the first place to be honest. Been a personal thing, went through a phase of buying their consoles and they just gathered dust so was holding off on this one.

But definitely seems an impressive piece of kit. The misses would definitly enjoy Nintendo stuff like playing Mario Kart with me, and our three year old is showing pretty good aptitude for tablet games, so figure some simple stuff she might get on a console

EDIT: Just had a brainwave I could use the cheque + my own cash to buy a Switch bundle from say Smyths, then use my CEX voucher to pickup games or accessories. Think that will be a better option. Now to hunt bundles!

I was just going to suggest this :pac:

GameStop had 25% off second hand consoles recently. Might be worth trying there to see if the offer is still running.

Looking for some recommendations for physical games today. Gonna go on a bit of a spending spree on switch games. Picking up Bayonetta at lunch. I have Zelda, mario, mk8, Xenoblade, fire emblem warriors, rayman.

Is there any games that have come out in the past two months that you would recommend? Physical would be best, but I don't mind download if the price is right.

    Thanks guys!

You know, I just have this "thing" about buying second hand. I typically don't do it. Might be different situation nowadays maybe, but was never comfy spending a few hundred quid on something where I don't get a full warranty for myself.

I also dont provide custom to Gamestop :)

You won't regret buying the Switch anyway. I've a PS4, One X and Switch. The Switch is getting much more play time at the moment than both of the others combined.

    Best Christmas present ever :pac:

I'm prodominantly a PC gamer. Bought a PS4 on launch and its only really got playtime the last six months. Finally just quit World of Warcraft and the time freed up is incredible :D

Writing a little list here. Seeing mention of SD cards. Does the Switch have inbuilt memory or you can expand via SD cards? Have a rake of them from a Raspberry PI project a few years ago.

It has 32GB internal memory, 26GB of which is free, and yes it takes micro SD cards. :)

Most of my games are cartridge but I do have a 200GB SD that I got for €60 before Christmas from amazon.com.

It has 32gb internal and uses very little if you play with the carts. If you want to buy digital games it fills very fast. But you can chuck in a SD card to boost storage.

Cool have loads of them knocking about.

I see the general gaming prices themselves are quit nice, Nintendo have always been decent at that. Seem to be the 40 quid mark quickly checking amazon etc.

I havn't fully convinced myself to move away from the physical purchases on consoles yet, even though I have on PC for yeearrs. Last PC build didnt even have an optical drive.

Think I've found from PS4 and Xbox 360 experiences, the prices were the same and no cheaper buying digital, so why not have a nice little box on a shelf :)

SD card is cool though, like I said have loads of them and they can be gotten cheap enough

Just keep an eye that the read/write speeds are fast enough.

Is there any link or post existing that at this point is a "Recommended starter buying guide".

See Nintendo have gone a bit the Apple route here, the price of these accessories is insane! Does everything just come with and off you go, or is there some "essentials" that are recommended.

*Just looking on CEX website, massively regret giving them my DVD collection for a voucher, their prices for second hand merch is ludicrous

Get a glass screen protector off Amazon. I got the Orzly one and it's excellent.

Never used them but was looking at their website the other day and that seems to be their business model.

They’ll give you what seems like a good price for your stuff in vouchers. But then you realise that their prices for second hand stuff is higher than new in some other places (at least it is the case for many Switch games vs Amazon) but you still have to buy these in order to use your vouchers.

For exemple I doubt anyone is giving them 62 euros in cash for a second hand copy of SMO. It must just be people who need to use vouchers.

Mario + Rabbids is very enjoyable.

    Expensive, indeed.

I got the Wii U version of the Wind Waker first-hand in Argos, for around the same price as (or slightly less than) what I've paid for the GameCube version in CeX (€25).

Thing about them is they will take a lot of second hand stuff, like cameras, phones, laptops. I happened to have a few museum pieces I wasn't going to use and I was able to get a second hand switch, not a bad deal imo, much easier than flogging stuff on Adverts. They are also not bad value for some ps4/3ds games, I think it's a supply and demand thing with switch, there's just no games out there.

Saw that battle chef brigade was 10% off so I decided to buy it on the mexican eshop. I forgot the password so I go to reset it but it keeps telling me that the nickname is wrong

I have the switch in front of me so I can see the nickname and I've tried changing it. Anyone know what to try ?

I could just set up a new account I suppose.
