Hungry for the Resi 2 remake like...

I've never played through resi 2. So I planned on going through them all. Finished REmake then heard about this remake so now the series is on hold until its release.

I have them all across different systems

2 for me is tied with 4 for the best in the series. excellent game

2 was my favourite until the REMake came along on the GameCube (and subsequently, the REMake HD version, so the rest of the world gets to experience what GameCube owners got all those years ago!)

4 and 7 would be closely on the heels of those two as well.

probably goes 4 or 2, remake or 1 , 7, 0, 3, CV, revelations, 5 and i feel i require putting a lot of space and then 6 way way way behind

i genuinely enjoyed all of them i know 5 is less RE and more Gears of War but dont feel it was a terrible game like 6 was would love a collection released on the switch for 0 to 3 + CV. 7 is great but just dont feel it has the same place in my heart as 1, 2 and 4

*Nintendo Account required. Online services and features. including online gameplay, are free until the paid Nintendo Switch Online Service launches in 2019.

I really hope thats a typo, because delaying it again along with presumably virtual console is really stupid and lame and Nintendo should get a grip with it.

I really would like to see some new 3rd party titles coming to the Switch, sometime soon.
    And, no more 2D platformers!
I mean, it's great to see Super Meatboy but, all this post modern stuff, the pixel art titles, the upscaled mobile phone games....
I would rather see some new racing title from Ubi or whoever Eden/Codemasters are working for these days.

How was the new Micro Machines? Maybe that'll make an appearance

Split/Second was amazing on the last gen consoles, still a great game, but that type of title seems to have died a death on all formats.
Blur killed Bizarre Creations too, despite being a great game it just didn't sell.
Track day sims are all well and good, but I think the Switch would really benefit from a Test Drive Unlimited type title.
Drive Club on the PS4 is probably my favourite racing title of the last 5 years, but such a game is very unlikely on the Switch, and that Gear Club game is just too rooted in mobile gaming to be of any interest.

These two are probably the best racing games of the last two generations but both studios are gone now. Split/Second especially was an absolute blast to play and I still go back to it now and then to race on the track where the plane crashes on you.

The other half of that announcement states "...specially crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart". :(

I wont get my hopes up.

Although it could be a blood free GTA V port where you solve conflicts through reasoned discussion and debate where every interaction ends with a firm handshake mini-game.

I know it's aimed at kids(and big kids which I admittedly am:)) but that wouldn't bother me too much. We had a good mini Direct last week and there's a full one rumoured for next month so I have my fill of games.

I'm just interested to see what it is, and if it's actually something genuinely new.

Still wrestling with myself over physical Vs digital. The only digital game I have that also has a physical release is Mario Odyssey so I haven't fully committed either way yet.

On one hand the convenience of digital is brilliant. I can easily flick through and pick a game to play at the touch of a button. I know I'll be more inclined to play some games in quick bursts like Mario Kart if it is always on the system rather than swapping out a cart, as stupid and lazy as that sounds!

On the other hand the permanency of the physical carts has it's own obvious advantages.

My PC is naturally fully digital but it just feels odd doing it with Nintendo products.

Has anyone fully committed to digital and how are you getting on? I feel a support group is needed for those transitioning from physical to digital.

I started off digital, but soon went back to physical, mainly as my son got a Switch too. Since Nintendo have a family account set up, but DON'T allow sharing of games, all the digital games (Mario Kart, Zelda etc) that I had, he couldn't play. Since then, bar some indies that he wouldn't play anyway, all my games are physical, to the point where I'm paying a bit extra to import Resident Evil so that I have at least one physical copy for the future.

If Nintendo were to allow family sharing (even if it's a case where you have to transfer ownership or something within the group), I might go back, but as it is, I'm going mainly physical for the foreseeable.

When the big ass tower comes crashing down around you and it's all "Ohhh Sh1111t!"

Nothing quite like it since at all.

Really should've sold more, but it lives on, played on my PS3.

I listen to the soundtrack when I go running too. Really keeps me motivated :D

I'm completely digital and have no regret. The convenience of just being able to change games whenever I want is great. I have young kids though so it also means I don't have to worry about them losing the small carts, trying to eat them or damaging the card slot trying to change games. Unlikely you might think but the young fella broke my launch PS4 in its first month when he was trying to jam a disc in when there was already one in the drive.

That's good. I might just but a big SD card and go all in.

I find I'm a lot more selective when buying all digital rather than feeling like I have to pick up some obscure releases right away before they become hard to find, which is a good thing.

My 3DS is near fully digital and it might feel a bit weird, but that alleviates the time taken by swapping out cartridges.

Almost 100% positive my kids would be like "that tasted awful!!...... I wonder if they all taste awful" and then I have to explain to the hospital how they became the first children in the world to overdose on the Patented Nintendo Anti Lick coating.

I switched. Really liking the experience so far. As with someone who posted a couple of days ago, this is my first Nintendo since the SNES. I also had the original Nintendo. It's made me quite nostalgic and im enjoying that.

Bought it on Saturday and have been hammering Zelda since. I also bought Super Bomberman and Mario Kart for the local multiplayer craic! I'd say most of the local multiplayer at my gaf will now be on the Switch.

Not sure what other games look too appealing right now. Mario certainly, but not much else.

Switch's strongpoint games wise seems to be the old school Nintendo favourites, rather than new IP's. I will probably get Super Metroid when that rolls around. Ghost and Goblins anyone?
