Still waiting for word on what my number plate will be.

Giving the numbers already around Cork, it could be fairly high

Maybe some of the number blanked out due to a public photo?

That off centre number plate has really annoyed me!

Imagine paying the guts of 40k and and to have this lob sided number plate gawking at you every day!

I stood beside a tungsten silver one R line and have to say it looked spectacular!

Ya they look the business especially with the sunroof, unfortunately it will be 182 before I can change. I spotted you in Longford a few weeks ago BTW, Passat looking well!

That lopsided number plate would bug me no end. But maybe not as much as the teeny alloys underneath it. Those Tiguans need much beefier wheels than that for that bulky body.

Do you find the quality is up to passat?
I've not been in the new tiguan but in general, I was of the opinion with alot of these Suv type vehicles that you get golf style fit out for passat money.
As I say, I've not been in a new tiguan though.

Interior in the Tiguan is pretty good. It needs the digital dash but I think that's in the Highline. It probably resembles the Golf more than the Passat but there's little or nothing between a current Golf and a Passat in terms of interior fitout imo. A lot of the switchgear is identical.

What gets me is that for the bulk of the car, it's not that massive inside. If you need space I think a Passat estate is a better choice.

VW did well with the new Tiguan, it looks sharp in the right spec.

Doubt many of these will hit Irish shores...

    Joe pretty much nailed it
    Elbow room seems fine
Seating position suits me a bit better than the passat right now.
Passat is still a comfy car only swating position is getting to me on a decent trip.

I may being going heavy on the options but I like my toys :)

Unfortunately wont be an R but hopefully would please the eye.

Nice. A friend of mine had a 150bhp diesel loaner for a few days a while back and he was very impressed with it - even the power delivery - and he's used to driving a MK7 GTI.
With a good spec they're the best looking car of that type around at the moment imo. That black R version looks like something a modern day A-Team would be happy to be seen in :D

I assume that is to reinforce my point, right? That looks like someone sat on the front of it.

    Needs a wash already. :D

We picked up my wife's 1.7D Sportage today (reg # 26), she still hasn't driven it. She's drives my 250 BHP car no bother, but not yet comfortable driving this crossover.

I'd consider something like that for my next car. I see it has some sort of heads up display.
