About 20 seconds long - watch at about 5 seconds from the end.

    What are we watching?

Not a drop of rain in Dublin. Well, not that I can hear anyway!

Sorry for all the posts! Have a good lightning flash video but can't upload it. Loads more flashes since I posted. Best storm in a good while here.

My back garden is looking out towards hills, the sea is about 2 miles as the crow flies. I can see all those strikes beyond the hills :D

Will it be quiet for rest of the night or is there more to come?

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,145 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

I'd say there could be a bit more up the east coast. That's about it.

There seems the be something brewing south of the Wicklow Mountains. Knowing my luck this year, they'll die out as soon as they reach Southside Dublin.

    Hi,

Was I dreaming, or did we have thunder and lightning in the New Ross area at around 3am this morning?

Is there any way of checking past strikes?

No you weren't dreaming. Yis had a great theatre in the sky last night. Plenty going on. You'll see the incidenses on met.ie "past weather" but the site is so archaic it'll probably be tomorrow before being able to see the strikes.
