A nice bit of activity off the south coast indeed, but it seemed to die out when it came over land last night. Hopefully tonight, with lower pressure the activity will be sustained. There could be a few interesting temperatures recorded if a downpour of hail occurs overnight!

NOTE: The map above is a live one and will change as time progresses!

There's much angrier lurking off the SW coast which will impact cork and Kerry later tonight by the colours on the UK met radar page
On the Irish one it has a colour for less than 2mm/hr
On the Uk bright red purple and bits of white i.e. 15 to north of 30mm/hr

And the best part is they are both using the same Radar!

Strikes making it much closer to the coast.

Metar for Cork airport is reporting cumulonimbus clouds (tall lads associated with thunderstorms) and it's taf is forecasting thunderstorms likely from now until 2AM

TAF* and noted by me earlier, and until 3am (2am UTC- we're in BST for another 2 weeks)

Dublin and Waterford have similar TAF's

    I just heard thunder.
    The show has started.

Standing at the front door this time.
Sounds and looks worse than last night.

First one right over Enniscorthy now. Serious boom out of it. Louder than the average rumbles we normally get.
