Had a lovely drop fall here today and no drying in it either. Twas badly needed will give the place the kick it needed for growth.

Took off all my clothes on saturday and shaved my head. Was sweating mad. Everrything back on again this morning except the hair. Cows and calves in since yesterday. Calf coughing this morning. Left them all out. He was still coughing in field. Brought him in with his mother. He jumped out through barrier and knocked me over when I tried to catch him. No sign of a cough anymore, only laughing at me. As if I''ve nothing better to be doing ...

Raining away since 2 here. Got bales baled this morning. 90 in the bank now about 3.5 bales to the acre, a bit with it. Cooler alright but hopefully the nights won't be as cold either with the hit of cloud cover

Are you the first to go in your area? Got a fright yesterday when I caught a glimpse of my neighbours tractor, for a second it looked like he was out mowing but luckily he was just rolling some ruts.

A few others have done bits, contractor did a bit himself but calf to beef is his farming so his demand would be lower early in the year. This was stuff not grazed so wouldn't be gloating to be first out Lol. Would have been much more valuable had an animal eaten it in the last few weeks. Weather went from very wet to dry so growth came at once then

Was out in the garden in my shirt sleeves most of today in Kerry. Saw rain in Clare but it didn't come near us.

Grass in the field looks like it has grown a bit.

My neighbor will be happy. He's renting my field off me for hay.

What weather app is giving 21deg?

What weather app is giving 21deg?

    None.

The Gem model on theweatheroutlook.com. It's always fairly reliable for temperatures.

    Arpege then for rainfall.

It will be his loss. Personally don't think it's long enough to cut but my knowledge of grass extends to me getting silage off it last year for the first time having moved from the capital

Bit early for hay around here. Growth is very slow. Things are green but no volume of grass yet.
