    Shues and sucks.

    I think it's contextual.

As in: "just let me get my socks and shoes on" or "my shoes and socks are soaking wet".

Well he should have chosen better names for them than Shoes and Socks. And then have a vicious argument as to which came first.

Parents can be so cruel.

    Shoes and socks.

(This flows a lot easier than "socks and shoes" when you consider the manoeuvres the mouth has to do.)

    Shoes and socks.

Though half way through reading the answers I had changed to socks and shoes. But pretty sure I've reverted back again now.

You can try saying it allowed.

This is to settle a rather vicious debate

    Shoes and Socks for sure.

I know in our house it's usually 15 minutes of shouting and arguing followed by "I don't care anymore, wear whatever the fcuk you want".

Mine's not a small baby. Had his 9 month checkup today and we were told he's the size of the average one-year-old. I'm 5'9. On an unrelated note, his mother is a huge TOH fan...

Sure the reason he goes fishing the entire time is so he doesn't have to hear about Rob Kearney's continued inclusion in teams.

The correct answer was socks and shoes. I've never been more disgusted with this place in my entire life.

The real challenge is trying to say it quickly either way round in Sean Connery's voice.

Fortunately I am past that stage and in possession of fully fledged toddlers.

You know how everyone says "It gets easier" when you've got a newborn? That's f*cking bullsh*t. It gets better several years down the line but it definitely gets worse before then.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 36,077 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

It gets briefly easier at about 8 but then it's all downhill again.

In fairness it might not get better at all. The twins might turn into infamous murderous psychopaths. So you have that to keep you going.

Don't be silly. One of them is almost definitely going to kill the other one soon.

As the father of a 14 year old and a 20 year old, I can whole heartedly assure you it never gets easier, the obstacles just change.
