Why did Tomlin opt for an onside kick. Daft.

I thought it was the obvious choice if they got a 3 and out which they realistically would've needed in any case, just the execution was horrible.

Crazy game, Pittsburgh score 42 and never were within 7 after the first TD. Fair play to Jacksonville, all the Pittsburgh weapons on offense showed up and they still beat them. Ben had a mercurial game bar the pick and fumble. Foles, Bortles and Keenum could all be in the championship round, strange season.

Just to let molloyjh know that I'm heading to bed now for an uninterrupted nights kip. Probably 7.5 or 8 hours should see me right!!

To get someone of propery quality they'll need to be paying that anyway. This is a league where Ryan Fitzpatrick got $12m for one season at the Jets. Or Mike Glennon who got $16m at the Bears this year.

An elite QB is incredibly hard to get. They'll definitely be making enquiries for guys but it's unlikely they can attract anyone decent for less money. Alex Smith has a potential out this year which could be interesting with Mahomes being the big investment for the future at the Chiefs.

Or they could just completely roll the dice on the draft but that's never too likely. For every Deshaun Watson there's three Tim Tebows.

Talk of Manning to the Jaguars. I'd expect Giants to draft a QB this year with the 2nd pick and a couple of good prospects available. Bortles stock is high at the minute but a lot could change depending on next week.

True, I suppose they'll roll with him next year. A lot of teams are in the market for QBs whether it's via the draft or veterans (Cousins, Alex Smith, Bridgewater and/or Bradford) so it's going to be an intriguing offseason.
After next year I can't see the Jags giving Bortles a starter contract with 3-4 years guaranteed. It would be insanity.

Saints have clawed back to 17-14 in the 4th having been down 17-0. Vikings potentially down two players in the secondary.

Super playoff game. If Vikings get down for a field goal Payton might rue those lost timeouts.

    Madness

How does the playoffs throw up these endings

Would've liked a Brady vs Brees Superbowl.

That play will follow Marcus Williams for the rest of his career.

Tough for Drew Brees. He was clutch in his last drive, that throw on 4th to Snead was outstanding. If he comes back for another year the Saints should be contenders again. Fantastic draft class last year with Lattimore, Ramzyck, Kamara and Williams (!).

I can justify a 5.7L V8 Supercharged Toyota Tundra, now that I live in Murrrka, right?

I honestly thought the Saints were going to win the Superbowl. Their offensive weapons are unreal and their defence has clicked into gear this season. I could have seen them going toe to toe with the Patriots and outgunning them. In Brees they have one of the only guys around who could face Tom Brady and match him for smarts and hadnling pressure.

I'm interested in seeing how the Jags cope next week but I don't see anyone troubling the Patriots too much now. Eagles, Jags and Vikings have a combined zero titles between them. The Eagles with Wentz might have caused the Patriots problems but Nick Foles isn't winning a Superbowl.

As my delightfully witty American cousins would say, you can't spell Saint without "aint". Which means they won't win the superbowl. Apart from that time they did.

Lord I hope the Pats don't win again. If nothing else it is just boring.

For those who may need reminding (or never knew) how innovative a singer Dolores was:

You can try saying it allowed.

This is to settle a rather vicious debate

    How?

    Socks and shoes allowed

    or shoes and socks allowed?

    This is getting hellishly complicated.
