I'll give you 5 bob for it!

Any recommendations to pick up a few USB-C cables for not a whole pile?

Mine came yesterday and I'm very happy with it. I like the way they allow cooling around the cpu parts.

    Hey there,

Thank you for ordering the OnePlus 3! Unfortunately, your order is experiencing minor delays and will arrive a few days later than expected.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, and we’d like to try to make it up to you. If you paid for priority shipping, all shipping fees will be automatically refunded. Additionally, here’s a coupon code worth $10 (or your local equivalent) that can be redeemed on oneplus.net.

Sorry again for the inconvenience, and we hope you’ll enjoy your OnePlus 3. Never Settle.

    The OnePlus Team

    😞

Noticed that the address on my order was slightly wrong. Not a big thing but I don’t want to take the risk of my package going missing. Contacted them on live chat and asked could I change it.

The said no, even though the order isn’t due to ship for another 8 days.

“It’s too late, the order is ready to ship…………… although we haven’t got the stock at the moment”.

They advised that I cancel, but THEY couldn’t cancel it. I’d have to log in and do it myself.

After failing to find the option to cancel myself, I got back onto them and asked for instructions.

They informed me that I would only be able to cancel if the status was “Pending Shipment”

The order was indeed “Pending Shipment”.

I was then told that I couldn’t cancel at all.

Not happy with their customer service whatsoever! They’re all over the place.

Is the local equivalent €10? Not great compensation really since unless you use that €10 on an order over €100 then you have to pay for shipping. So really only useful if you were planning on buying something anyway

Under distance selling regulations, you have the absolute right to reject the goods and your money back
I'd do that and a card chargeback

even after you receive the phone you have 14 days to return it no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

I found a spare 2 to 3 pin adaptor at home, which is pretty low profile in size. Attached it to the 2 pin charger, but it's massive altogether :D

It goes from the V key to the shift key on a standard keyboard :) That's before you plug in the data cable!

I hope they send me a 3 pin one soon!

I just used the two pin and a pen to get it into the socket.......

    Correct

Mind you can the courrier just hand to someone at the wrong address who obviously is not the phone contact either

remember when ordering you should be on oneplus.net/ie that's why i got the 3pin plug adapter. It will say Oneplus 3 (UK) beside it. elsewhere if you order on other european oneplus site you will get the 2 plug charger (EU).

anyways enjoy your new phone lads, already unlocked the OP3 and installed TWRP. also flashed the latest 3.1.3 Oxygen OS update.

The issue is.... if it goes to the wrong address I might not ever receive it to send it back or refuse it :(

I haven't, as of yet. Can you post a link to the guide you used?

unfortunately no, haven't tried that one yet as it involves rooting. so far i haven't exceeded 4gb usage of ram so it's not a problem for me.

I was afraid it would be too bulky, so opted for the sandstone case. Which is great btw.

Coming from a OPO, would people say the €400 is worth the price for the upgrade?

Still happy with my OPO but tempted to get this.

If you're still happy hold off for a bit, there's no rush as there is no invite system and price might come down towards the end of the year...

Dont buy a USB 3.0 anyway!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

Does doze have user definable parameters?

Noticing the same issues that I had with it on custom ROMs with OPO.
Gmail is dozing along the other apps and I'm not getting new emails until I wake the phone!

You'll get €170 in CEX for your OPO. So in fact it's €230 for a OP3.

Does that make the choice easier :)

Phone is going crazy with headphones plugged in.

Using Spotify the side where to turn up the volume asks me to unlock the phone every time
