I assumed the car dash charger wouldn't come with a cable, but it did. You might be pleasantly surprised.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,577 ✭✭✭digitaldr

Actually it definitely won't be coming with a cable - just checked the invoice and price means that it's just the charger.

    Item Sku Qty Subtotal
Dash Charge Power Adapter (UK) 0201001801 1 €19.95
    Subtotal €19.95
    Discount (Free) -€19.95
    Tax: €0.00
    Grand Total €0.00
    Thank you again, OnePlus

So I dusted off the 3D printer and printed a car holder. It took a bit of trial and error, but I have it fitting nicely - not quite snug, but not rattling around either.

And, of course, while it was printing, the sandstone case arrived - so I'll have to print another one :D

    La di da!! :D

After lots of webchat sessions my 3 pin dash charger is on the way. They sent an EU one with the phone - ordered during the loop event. I am assuming it doesn't come with a cable so might order one here (they're a reliable seller) rather than pay oneplus's exorbitant shipping.

Did they create a ticket on zendesk for you?
I've had one open since Monday afternoon trying to get a 3 pin charger

I hate following up without them replying, cos I'll get needlessly aggressive and threaten to burn down their domiciles :pac: :D

I did the online chat. Said I'd ordered during launch, selected UK, got European charger, and would like a replacement. No aggro, just took maybe ten minutes on the chat.

They maybe a reliable seller but that cable doesn't look like the dash cable that came with mine. That's a flat cable whereas mine is round.
Maybe they're repurposing OnePlus 1&2 cables?

I got the phone + extra charger bundle from oneplus, phone came with a round but the charger's cable was flat. think the 'extra' cables they sell may be the same cables that came with the op2

How long is it taking at the moment from ordering to delivery?

You were lucky in that you must've gotten an agent trained to deal with it properly. Whereas my chat took over 30 mins and in the end all they did was open a support ticket for me, which is now 5 days old without any freaking reply

I might try again on chat later, hoping to get a better trained agent :)

Many of the people who ordered on the launch day last week got their phones in 3 or 4 days.

Now you are looking at about a 10 day wait between ordering and shipping with the phone arriving a few working days later.

There's a cancel button that wasn't there before in my orders, I'm tempted to hit it and wait until this mess is sorted out before buying it. People on reddit saying its delayed until next month and they just received an email with a $20 voucher and free shipping.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,875 ✭✭✭deadanonymau5

The phone is still in stock apparently. I wonder if they actually have them in stock or if they're having problems getting them out.

They better not have these issues late July when the gold version is released and they better have the essentials bundle in stock!

My pending shipment date has now been pushed back to the 30th June... Grrr

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 357 ✭✭DanC90

I just got the Email from Oneplus saying my order is delayed and won't ship until the first week of July 😠 I ordered mine on the 15th and will most likely be waiting almost a month for it to get here, they gave me a code for $20 but tbh that's not helpful right now, I would rather the phone ship on time 😑

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,719 ✭✭✭polaris68

My delivery date has moved from June 27th to the 30thon their site. A cancel button has also appeared and is looking tempting.

Annoyed that I passed on the €150 discount on the Nexus 6P for this shambles.

Well, if you're not using it... I'd happily take it off your hands :o:p

I said it's not helpful right now, once I calm down and when the phone eventually gets here then I suppose I'll find it useful but nice try 😂

I've had the phone a few days now and it's worth the wait guys! Lightning fast and very snappy!

I upgraded from the one plus two, and I recommend it.

It is a little slippy in your hand tho.

I found that, but the sandstone case makes a huge difference. I'm not normally a case kinda guy, but I don't think I'll be taking it off.

Anyone able to compare the +3 to a galaxy s6 for me? Would it be an upgrade as such all around or more of a side step/on par?

    There's a you tube if you google,comparing the +3 to a galaxy S7
The Galaxy S7 won on nearly all points for speed and response

I was comparing it to my old phone a S6 edge plus.

I rate the one plus three higher on everything then the camera thats a bit useless but i rarely take photos.

Been impressed with it a lot for a 400 euro phone.

  • Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 11,283 Mod ✭✭✭✭MarkR

I wouldn't say it's useless anyway. I'm no photographer, but it seems fine to me. Haven't taken much yet, but did take a couple in a garden centre yesterday to see what a close up picture would look like.

Do you prefare the ui/oxygenos compared to touchwiz? Any other negatives in comparison aside from the camera?

Regarding the camera on the op3. We are using very early software on it and while I'm not saying it would be as good as a top of the line samesung, Sammy did have a head start to perfect the firmware and software. In short, perhaps wait till a few updates have passed onto the OP3 before writing the camera off.

OnePlus posted why there were delays in the UK

    https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/dear-uk-your-phones-are-on-the-way-soon.452826/
It’s also humbling that you’ve showed so much patience with us as we’ve transitioned into our “no invites” phase. In fact, the demand for the OnePlus 3 in the UK has been above and beyond what any of us expected initially. A number of you have been experiencing delays in your orders, and for that we’re truly sorry. We always try to be as honest and transparent as possible, so we want to let you know what’s going on and how we plan on solving the main issues so you can get your new phones as soon as possible.

Firstly, there’s been something of a schedule misalignment between devices and accessories in the UK. We had plenty of accessories on the way at the moment of launch, however customs issues meant many orders that included both devices and accessories were delayed. We’ve solved this obstacle by simply removing and refunding those accessories and any priority shipping paid for, dispatching devices directly, and issuing vouchers for £8 / 10€ off their next order and waived the minimum order to qualify for free shipping to those affected so that they can purchase cases and other items once we have them restocked.

We experienced some slight output delays from our factory, and the rate of replenishment for the UK has taken longer than we planned. For this reason, some of the dispatch estimates have increased but we have more stock arriving this week, and we should have all outstanding orders before today fulfilled and shipped by Thursday. Some of you have been waiting for two weeks, and we understand your frustration. We apologise for the delays, and we’ll be contacting those affected by email, and issuing a voucher for £16 / 20€ plus no minimum order to qualify for free shipping for their next order. We’re prioritising those fans who ordered earliest, but if you order this week we’ll be able to fulfill within 2-3 days as things return to normal.

    So, a quick recap...
Thank you for your support. The OnePlus 3 is selling faster at an unprecedented rate.
Sorry to those who have had to wait. All outstanding orders will be dispatched mid-next week and those who’ve been affected will be compensated with a £16 / 20€ coupon + no minimum order to qualify for free shipping.
Starting next week we are back to normal processing times.
Demand for the OnePlus 3 is growing steadily, and we’re doing the very best that we can to meet it. We thank you for your patience, and hope that with your help we can continue to grow and improve. We can’t do this without you!
