I know there are a lot of cables, but wouldn't have minded a longer cable for the camera. Just reached the top of my TV without having to rearrange everything in the TV stand

Quick setup and go, Spiderman needs moves :( so i threw on wipeout. Man, looking around the cockpit is so cool! At first, it didn't seem too crazy but then you drop over a step edge and i got a small but queezy, was awesome! Have all the other games downloading, Resi 7 tonight!

Yeah it takes a while to get used to vr. Once you get the moves and try something like Beat Saber, SUPERHOT VR or BoxVR you will get a proper experience

Yeah, i definitely have enough games to keep me going until TLOU 2 and then should be good timing for iron Man to arrive with the sticks, will get walking dead asap and then beat saber and superhot are on my definite list. Summer gaming sorted.

Days of play starting next week as well, it was a brilliant event last year for VR discounts - have about 100 quid put away for a spending spree :D S&S top of my list (hopefully even just a 5 or 10e discount on it)

You won't sleep tonight after Resi 7 haha..

I got my Aim Controller today in argos for 70..

Still no sign of my VR kit shipping, judging by my luck lately (my galaxy buds plus never arriving from amazon) I wouldn't be surprised if Smyths where already sold out and don't have enough stock to send me mine ha..

I've so much stuff bought for this already..

Ah S&S is still too new to be getting discounts just yet... but it's priced cheap enough considering the 18 hours or so you'll get out of the campaign

Hmmm didn’t realise it was actually that long, doesn’t seem too bad if that’s the case :) Must read up a bit more on it. B&T was about 50 on release iirc and I got about 8 hours out of that.

Jesus Christ Astrobot is amazing. Like someone else said, it's like the first time i discovered video games all over again, pain in my jaw from smiling.

Had a bit of trouble setting it up in the sitting room tonight, couldn't stay astrobot as o couldn't get past the positional screen. Completely forgot i had a batman sticker over my light bar :pac:

Then i wasn't getting sound from the earphones. Turns out you have to......put them in your ears..... I had them in the holder things thinking the sound would go into the headset keeping your ears free. 2nd Noob mistake. Are those holders there just keep the ear pieces from dangling when not in use?

Why oh why didn't i get this sooner.

Yeah Astro is incredible, I got it with Vr and thought what is this goofy **** about - once I put it on I couldn’t stop smiling. It’s like finding gaming all over again, like the first time you played Mario or first picked up a pad - some of the tricks it pulls are genius.

The holders are only there to keep the headphones attached without dangling off the headset :D Good to hear you are enjoying it man, I love seeing people getting this experience for the first time - you’ve just taken the red pill and it’s only down the rabbit hole from here haha

If any of ye new VR lads want to dip in to Firewall this weekend, feel free to add me on PSN- TheSpecialist85. Happy to squad up and show ye the ropes :) I’m normally on all night Friday and Saturday haha

Just had another short go tonight. Tried the Luge which was kinda cool and the Danger ball game.
Then decided to see how it works for standard games so threw on Pinball FX that I had installed. Works pretty well.
Set the screen size to small.

Played through The London Heist, amazing experience! I played a demo of it before, my only time with psvr previously and the move controllers obviously work better than the ds4 for it but still great.

Threw on resi 7. Jesus, that game was eerie enough first time around and even though the graphics take a hit in vr, it's extremely unsettling. I didn't like the turn movement so switched out to smooth. Much better but i started feeling queezy inside the house so giving it a rest til tomorrow and ease into it like suggested here. Probably not the best game to finish a session on though, well have to think about the little astrobot dudes for a while :)

Thanks all for the advice and recommendations, epic piece of kit.

Firewall also has tracking of your body, so if you crouch in real life you crouch in game (can also use O if the knees are bad) :D It can get pretty sweaty at times haha
    I'll be using 'O' quite a bit :o

London Heist was basically the tech demo for Blood & Truth so if you enjoyed that, it will blow your mind - an 8 hour action movie with you as the ass kicking lead character :D

Also, smooth turning should be your default all the way in every game once you get your VR legs :)

Still feel a bit sick, googled it and not alone. Loads of similar reports from people playing resi 7 vr. Will definitely have to work my way up to that.

It’s motion sickness - basically your brain is still trying to figure out how the **** you were moving through a space when you were actually stationary :D Smooth turning will tend do that until you have a few more hours under the belt. You can ease it by having a fan blowing on you while playing or eating things that have ginger in them. Some games will have a load of comfort options as well from click turning to “blinders” that partially obscure the left and right of your view.

It will pass when you spend more time in VR and get used to it :)

I noticed something during the Luge game but nothing serious. More just when making jumps over hills.

That lobby area in the VR Worlds, don't know how many times I tried to grab the ball.

Might be Monday before I get to try anything too juicy out, though might get to try Astrobot tomorrow

I'll admit I was a bit arrogant with that. My friend gets motion sickness in cars, thought I would be fine with VR as I never get it, don't need any of those comfort options....

    Thanks for the advise!

Also The Room VR seems to be on sale for the Double Discounts on the Irish store, think it works out at about 21euro with PS Plus in case anyone wanted it..

It's payday at last and I'm looking at the store here - there seems to be 2 versions of Saints & Sinners: Standard & a Tourist edition which is 10e more.
You'll receive three unique weapon recipes: The Sheriff, The Judge, and the National Guard Knife, also a set of collectible voodoo dolls!

Would someone who has it mind explaining what I'm getting for an extra 10? :o Are these extras worth it?

I saw this also, personally I wouldnt pay the extra as all it seems to be is things to help you faster with the game...

I don't pay extra when there is no additional gameplay benefits... I guess its up to you if you want those items or not..

I dont own this so can't confirm haha... I was hoping this would add gameplay time then I define would buy, im waiting for days of play to buy anymore VR games

Yeah I can't decide if it's worth it - the weapons seem to be a revolver, a knife and what looks like the Lucille bat with barbed wire :D No idea what the voodoo dolls do. Might go for standard for now and see how I get on - the upgrade pack is only 10e anyway if I want it later.

Basically pointless then buying the edition for 10er more when you can upgrade for the same price haha..

I really want this game, but would prefer a disc version at that price so I could resell it after I finish it..

The tourist edition is basically just weapon skins from the series... you get the same weapons in the game itself, but they just don't look like the ones from the TV.

    Pretty pointless DLC tbh.

My other recommendation apart from Polybius, is to grab Until Dawn: Rush of Blood ... it often comes up on sale, but it's the most perfect "on rails shooter" as that's essentially what you are doing... on a rollercoaster... in a maniac's nightmare.

But really good, and it's still ranked in the top 10 games for PSVR.

Until Dawn : Rush of Blood was a ps plus game for November 2017

It's actually part of the double discount promo too in case anyone doesn't have it

    https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/grfzs8/ukeu_new_ps_store_discounts_2752020/

Apex Construct and Doom VFR are both really cheap now too and deserving a purchase.

Cheers man, how is the movement scheme in S&S? Is smooth turning and full loco available?

I see they are still selling Werewolves Within - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. There are no players active at any time of the day, I got stung for 15e for it last month and they refused a refund even though it's completely unplayable.
