You're right actually yes, similar but different.

    haha.

    "Conor ran". :)

Don't worry. It's my usual well-balanced, well-thought-out overnight insomniac stuff. :pac:

If nothing else you'll come away from it contemplating how often you apply "availability heuristics" in day-to-day life.

Extremely readable, wonderfullife. I'm usually very critical of any artistic endeavor but they've both had a great quality to them, very flowy!

It's only after reading others comments that I realised it was you. Excellent stuff. To be honest I completely agreed with the analysis. Well done. Keep 'em coming!

thanks for the positive feedback guys, appreciate it!

It remains just a hobby but any of these offers materialise into writing for a publication it'd be brilliant.

The thing i really want to write is the story of Joao Carvahlo.

Not his fight against Charlie Ward or his tragic death. I want to tell the story of his life.

He came to this country as an aspiring fighter and left as a footnote in the story of Irish MMA.

I'd love to travel to Portugal and talk to his coaches, training partners, friends and family and tell his story.

If i win the lotto or even get 5 numbers up i'll do it myself and put it on a blog if needs be.

I think he deserves to be more than a sad footnote in the history of Irish MMA.

    And Conor's teeps are horrible.
As my striking coach puts it, he stabs you with his toes.
I've had both types done to me and the type Conor uses are far worse.

just to clarify you mean they are really hurtful?

As opposed to he sucks? That's kinda how you can read that sentence :o

Yeah he tends to go low with them. They are fantastic tool for wearing people down, they are a lingering strike the damage isn't really apparent for a few while a while after. Can be the nail in a coffin for a fighter who is already tired.

He should utilize them much more, they are an excellent tool for a rangey fighter. It's the equivilent of a leg jab, perfect for mantaining distance and you don't exert much energy throwing them either. I think he fears getting his leg trapped and then being tripped but if a fighter has his hands up and you go low it's very hard to catch. They also set up his left hand and can be thrown from either leg. Gives good option for feints too because if you have been going low trying to wind people they will drop their hands and leave themselves open to that straight left.

Ha yeah sorry, they hurt more, instead of getting a full foot which spreads the impact somewhat, you get the toes and the ball of the foot so the area it hits is more concentrated, also it's usually around the solar plexes so it proper ****s you up.

He tends to whip them in rather than a big power kick so I'd say they're hard enough to catch as is. Plus if it connects it'll hurt anyway so you've to deal with that too while he goes for you again.

    Hit and miss.

Some are good, mainly the training and sparring videos. I like the music, I feel it fits nicely.

The production quality is a bit lower than normal, seems to using a phone or something for the recording.

Maybe that's what it is. I'm probably making the mistake of comparing them to Embedded videos.

The footage from today's one is most likely from today, so he only has a few hours to edit and upload it.

I'd say the daily ones will be of lower quality overall, but I'm hoping they have sporadic ones like Man's Work because honestly some of them were better than the embedded's.
