I really hope it is McG vs Aldo. Firstly it will end all that "it wasn't really a fight" nonsense. Secondly it secures McG as the champion and buys him another year or so to arse around with other fights and weights, but mostly it will be on SOON and so we wont have another 6 months of build up to Mcg vs Aldo cos aint nobody got time for that :)

I think McG vs Aldo is more interesting than people might think. I think McG still wins but Aldo will be a lot more aware and cautious and therefore dangerous (watch for vicious leg kicks!).

I'd be well happy with McG vs Aldo tbh!

The cries for the Holloway rematch will grow pretty loud if he was to fight and beat Aldo, and while Max definitely deserves the title shot its not a great fight from Conors perspective nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I like Holloway as a fighter, don't think he would beat McGregor in a rematch though.

I like him too,and would still favour Conor in a rematch but he has definitely improved massively and for some reason its not a fight that seems appealing to me,for Conor its a fight with no upside only just the money.

I think Conor and Holloway could have a great fight, they've both improved massively since they fought. I'd give Holloway a decent chance but I'd still favour Conor.

Their first fight was very one sided. Conor was beating him on the feet handily and even controlled him on the ground with one working knee. No doubt Holloway has improved a lot since but not like Conor hasn't as well.

Can we assume Conor isn't fighting on 205 since we haven't heard of him travelling to America? Surely someone would of spotted him in Dublin airport.

It's NY. No need to travel weeks ahead like Las Vegas. No heat issue.

If he is flying to NY ahead of a presser that is gonna be quiet, he will be heading straight to the hanger onto a private jet.

I for one would be happy with an Aldo rematch...I think it would always be something of a blotch on his fw CV that he didn't have the rematch. Beating Aldo again would definitely nail that division shut and also allow him to know for certain that same night, who he would be fighting in his next match (assuming that Alvarez v Khabib goes ahead)

Speaking of Khabib, I listen to Brendan Schaub and all I hear is Khabib is an animal\beast etc., and how he is on 27:0 and all that....how is he only getting a title shot now? Has he been injured for ages or something? I realise that not all those wins are within UFC BTW :-)

Speaking of Schaub, what do ppl think of his commenting/opinions?

I remember Khabib was about to get a title shot and then he got injured for about two years. Khabib is a beast but he fought a part time fighter in his last fight and no one knows how good he really is after two years of injury. I do think Khabib is really good but nothing like the god he is being made out to be.

Schaub is hit and miss, he can say some really good stuff and then say some really stupid stuff. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder over how his fighting career when imo and always talks about how great of a business man he is :pac:

Yeah, I agree - he really does seem to be a little bitter towards how things ended up re his fight career.

It would be interesting to see if Khabib come back after two years gap and beat the champ..

I wonder if Dana is running around now in the background like a headless chicken getting signatures in time :-)

Rousey making a come back wouldn't surprise me.

That's SBG HQ on the Navan Road.

Could he be delaying signing a contract to get around going to this presser?

What does Danis mean by that tweet? I can't quite figure it out

Conor apparently spotted in Ney york and Aldo uploaded a picture at the airport on his instagram.

Lol. Agree to disagree. Yes,, because you are so far wrong and "delusional". Hilarious stuff.

Some of the foremost experts on UFC ticketing, PPV's etc (the numbers) - the likes of Dave Meltzer, FrontRowBrian and others, have all said that the Pricing Structure of UFC205 is a McGregor pricing structure.

I.e. the tickets could not be at that price for any other reason.

When i said there's not a hope in hell it sells out without Conor that's exactly what i mean. They can't shift thousands of tickets at above $800 and $1,250, for a card theoretically headlined by Tyron Woodley. The lower and upper prices would be closer together.

That's all a moot point because Conor is (likely) headlining.

Could mean anything really but his opponent did pull out from Polaris, so it could reference that pull-out.

Might also reference Eddie Alvarez wanting the fight but then not signing for insufficient money.

It's hard to know what to make of all this. Jose Aldo putting up on Instagram and Twitter pictures at the airport.....Conor quiet today and not seen in the gym..... Eddie Alvarez very quiet...... confirmation that Audie Attar (McGregor + Weidmans manager) seen meeting Dana White in NY last night....Eddie Alvarez manager in NY....rumblings that Anthony Pettis management in NY....

I've no idea what's going on. At face value it's Conor v Aldo 2 which (personally) is massively disappointing. It's a severe cut for Conor with little to gain, other than cementing his legacy. If he wins, people say "well so what he already beat him far easier before". If he loses, people say "told ya the first time was a lucky punch".

The Alvarez fight offers a lot more to gain, less weight to cut, and offers the fans something fresh.

I've no problem with the Aldo fight but it's a bit meh that his last 4 fights are against 2 guys.

I'm hoping if all the rumours stack up that it's Conor v Eddie for LW strap but not sure where Aldo and Pettis fit in to that (if anywhere).

11pm Irish time. Held in the Theater (adjoining MSG)

American sports themed tweet. Must be stateside.

I'd be surprised if $1,250 was a stratospheric for MSG in general. New Yorkers are used to paying big bucks. A big boxing event would be similar.
Courtside seats for the Knicks are $3500. And they play there 40 times a year. There's a lot of rich people in NewYork who spare a night to see the UFC. But wouldn't fly to Vegas.

Not sure who that guy is, but he included Paradigm. so I'd guessing they have the same agent and he was asked to tweet that. It might not even have been him.
