I thought RVD would be gone in first pick for this round as he first name I'd associate with ECW, good pick at this stage

I wrote down 20 ECW names I was interested in and left off around 10 because I thought they would have 100% been snapped up by now, RVD was one of them so I'm stunned that they are still there to pick. I still doubt any will make it to me but it gives me hope!

Yep, great pick. RVD would have been my second choice this round. Just didn't fit into my plans as much as Jeff who was thankfully available.

I think I'm glad RVD is gone because he would have been my 1st choice too and because he's gone I've actually researched abit and found some way more suitable guys ...C'mon CHEESE haha

The picks are going so slow this year compared to last year. At this stage last year round six was announced so we are just about 2 rounds behind last years pace.

Though will I am eager to pick and see who others have picked, with the pace slowed it gives you plenty of time to think of ideas and change plans.

This year we have after 4 rounds 4 draftees that were not picked at all last year (Fablous Moolah, Dan "Waylon Mercy" Spivey and The Public Enemy). Will we see any more new additions to the draft? Im sure of it.

Yeah have felt it's going slower this year. Later in the game I don't mind that as it gives plenty of time to do your write ups although yeah I wouldn't mind if the pace picked up a bit more now.

Though you never know when you might get a run of picks, for example if Cheese was on now we could get at least two in quick succession as ABMG is also on atm

I know it's nice to go along at a brisk pace but people sign up being told they have 24 hours to make their picks. I don't feel people should feel pressured or made feel bad cause they use their allotted time, especially if, for instance, it's a business day that people may be at work during a large chunk of it. I think the last year or two were abnormally fast, rather than this being abnormally slow, as well.

Yeah I think the last few years we had pretty much the exact same group of people involved in the draft which meant it moved along very fast. Not blaming the new folks cos for one there is no need to blame but obviously it'll run a little faster in the above scenario where we had people pming picks to others etc if they thought they wouldnt be online etc.

but yeah nobody should be pressurized (nor do I think they are) in this game to post at whatever pace and yep there is a 24hr limit for a reason and nobody has even come close to running foul of it. I remember there was a year when people suggested changing it to a 12hr limit but (thats just folks eager to pick) even as someone who usually doesn't hold things up in the slightest way I was opposed to that idea.

The draft will probably take a few months and thats fine by me even if I do prefer fast paced early rounds with the later rounds to go at a slower pace than them so I have more time to do write ups.

I dont think a 12 hour limit would work, people having a long sleep could easily fall foul of that one. 24 limit is the only fair way to go. Im just too used to the speed of the last 2 previous years.

Sure Cheese is online now and business could pickup. I like BH just would love a quicker early rounds so I can begin properly planning and layout shows. The latter rounds dont effect me at all.

Hadn't actually considered a 16th round but won't rule it out at this stage. That said I've a few ideas for later rounds but again nothing too radical but hopefully a bit of fun.

edit: and another pair of ECW tag champs are gone in Raven/Saturn, both of whom imo would be good to write for (although I only did for Saturn in the past)

When this round started I picked the bucks but flirted with the idea of raven , RVD and a few others who remained unpicked. Needless to say Raven was high on my list and I may regret not scooping him up.

Vince was my first choice this round, and Sandman was my second, from a story point of view.

But once I realized Rey was available...couldn't pass up that chance. And he fits into the world I want to create just perfectly.

Rey is def a top choice esp considering the round were in and the stip esp if he fits your planned theme. Now with DM 7 online too we have really picked up a head of steam
