The only reason I'm even slightly confident of getting my top pick this round is cos most of the posters I'd see wanting the same one are after me in the order.

Still this is the first round where I fear having my planned pick taken each time someone makes a draft.

Great pick though, before the stip I wanted Jeff but knew when the draw was made that he wouldn't make it to me.

Cool, I would've been pretty annoyed had he got to me & I didn't even have him on my list :P Bit strange that he wasn't on the wiki list I saw considering he was on a PPV, makes me wonder who else I've missed/they've left out.

From what I can see, and if we're looking at same ECWWE alumni list it only includes actual roster members rather than one off appearances. Didn't Batista have an ECW match that (had he not been picked already) would have made him eligible? It doesn't make him alumni technically though. Jeff was on RAW Brand at time I believe.

Yeah Batista had a match that got boo'd to all hell by the ECW fans cos he was with another WWE guy who (remains unnamed cos he's undrafted) was very non ECW who they didn't want there at all.

Yes Big dave did have a match with undrafted on one episode of WWE ECW, and I would have nabbed him had Brad not picked him instead.

    Damn you Brad

As well as the December to Remember ppv Jeff Hardy had at least 5 matches on the WWE ECW tv tapings that I can find... none of them singles matches.

(and for the record Cody Rhodes had 3 matches on WWE ECW tv, none in singles matches)

Yeah I think you're right, I wouldn't have realised Batista was eligible either. I think I know my first choice pick if mrk doesn't take it but if he does I must have a look through all of the PPVs and see if I missed anyone

I am going ask a favour, please don't name undrafted people in the discussion thread.

Sorry DM, probably my fault for bringing up Big Dave. Won't happen again.

I just edited out one someone mentioned unintentionally.

It is generally an unwritten rule so yeah lads let's try and avoid doing so. No real harm done though

    Sorry my bad, :)

Thanks BH, and no harm at all. Mentioning a former ECW champ is hardly revealing anything.

It's amazing that some guys/gals would go under your radar. Hadn't even thought of Jeff Hardy if I'd have wanted him.

Great picking nabbing Goldust AND Cody. Was a coin flick between themselves and Vince.

As stated, it's the beauty of having stops. Makes you think.

I agree, while initially angry at the stip for derailing my pick plans, its made me think outside the box.

Interesting to see the sandman go, thought he woulda been a little down the list but I've a feeling Mrk might have him in mind for a specific purpose.

and then there were more before my draft pick

I think im 100% sure who's top of your list BH!

You are one of the people I would fear on this one except your after me this round, If my pick is taken though I do at least have a few backups i'd be relatively happy with. One of those backups i'd guess is the obvious one Joe

Right the pick I had in mind is still available but I'd like to run through my list again in case I've missed anything or if there's a better fit. In work until after 5 at least so probably be around 6 when I post.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Actually the obvious one is based on your comment about tag teams.... not your roster

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Well whoever it is there are actually higher profile picks left and I'm not sure why I want this one so (guess its what comes from changing plans when a stip I didn't expect arises and as the guy running this thing thats something I hadn't anticipated at all) much but I guess I shouldn't say more so nobody else reads gts ideas cos of what I say

****, Sandman was my number 2 for this round, after Vince.

Sandman vs Austin vs Ambrose would have been so fun to write :(

Forgot I had a few things to get done at home so took longer than expected. When someone says ECW Rob Van Dam is probably the second name I think of so I was happy to get him. Though I was very torn between a few & think I've probably sacrificed a good tag team spot for him

Definitely do. There is a bit of a theme going with my picks this year so far and I already have a main event planned!

RVD is a great option I think as a "star name" to hold your midcard title or feud with an uppermid-main event talent. Also can slot into a tag team with many ppl. A great value pick IMO
