Ah I was hoping the Brainbusters would have slipped by when I made my pick but as soon as BH made a vague post reffering to his pick I knew they would be gone.

They were my second choice behind the Bucks as the Bucks are more important to my story than them but I would of loved to have both. Was hoping no one noticed Arn and Tully separtately but Im sure many did in the end.

Sure with being 17th in the next round, I doubt they would have lasted to me anyway. I need a tag team and a singles next, but unsure as to which one to pick first!

Anyway Arn and Tully are great value at this stage especially considering the stip.

Shocked a few other big Extreme names havent gone yet and one Im delighted to see still be around along with a partner.

Pretty much ever pick going is someone I would've liked on my roster at some point ... not necessarily top of my list .. but certainly people I've been considering. Really re-enforcing the idea that you've got to pick the people you really want when you get a chance, even when there are bigger names available. I would've hated to miss out on some on my list (and I'm sure I will hate when I miss out on some others that I want if they're picked).

Booker T in particular I think is great, from his momentum in the run up to his match against Triple H at Wrestlemania 19 I thought he would've made an amazing face champ, I don't think he recovered until his run as King of the Ring and the Smackdown champ. Certainly was the best heel at the time. Just a shame he didn't get more time in WWE to show his worth at the top.

Finally Bam Bam is picked, was sure he woulda went in the deceased wrestler round

Yeah Bam Bam was one of the 2 I'm surprised weren't drafted in that round.

    Sorry for the delay.

Gotta admit...it would've been hard to resist Arn and Tully (I've had them 3 times I think), and I had Lawler on my list.

Genuinely delighted with Bam Bam though. Never booked him before.

Had him 2 years ago, hes a very under rated pick imo. Very versitile

One of the most underrated IMO. He really should've gone in the deceased round, and arguably before me this round.

There was actually a few names I was surprised didnt go in the deceased round. Bam Bam can be great as a face or as a heel, had him as a homophobic heel previously and the feud was a hoot to write.

    i've just been informed that i could've taken a tag partner. D'oh!

i really need to look at the rules properly. in my head, i assumed ECW counted as a world title.

Could be a quick turn around to start the next round considering MNG & TBC are both in the last 3 of this round and first 2 of the next round.

There more I think about it I really like the ECW at this time in the draft. So many big names appeared when you look into it a little bit, still a few who at the start of the round I was 100% sure wouldn't make it through this roudn.

Had Bam Bam in my head as the one to pick but on reputation alone.

I did not see enough of his work to go through with making the pick. Thought he would need a manager on my roster. Probably not needed for people more familiar with him. That is why I went with Booker in the end who I am familiar with due to his WWE days.

The idea of Joe vs Bam Bam or Misawa vs Bam Bam are both mouth watering

I was sure he would be gone by my pick in this round so happy to get him this late

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,724 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

Christian was top of my list this round but didn't have the heart to take him away from you Liz :D

I think my odds on winning just went up to a 142 and 2/3 % chance.

Haha I was full on confused there until I realised tbc is #1 pick next round. Serves me right for not reading his first paragraph :P

Two great additions Crabman, kudos. How Bully Ray didnt go in the first 5 picks is beyond me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,699 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I strongly considered Steiner and Bully Ray.

I just didn't feel it in the context of my roster so far. That might be my lack of creativity, but neither suited me.

    Super picks though.

Damn. Bubba was high on my list for this round but tbh never expected him to get that far down the list. Was torn between him and Jeff but have an idea in mind that works better with Jeff. Great picks and surprised they lasted this long!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

I was thinking HTF can those two get picked together:confused:

Only noticed that they were both single picks. Given his fantastic run as TNA's main man getting Bubba is a beast of an acquisition.

Flying through this round.. Great picks so far

    Damn you BMG

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,469 ✭✭✭LeeJM

Loving the speed of the picks today. BMG defo has the pick of the day so far Omega and Ibushi is a cracking tag team. Still some massive names up for grabs. I think this round is when I'm gonna take a huge gamble on a tag team. They arent necessarily massive names but they are a team Im dying to write for. Id see it as a disaster if I dont get them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,699 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I've about 10 names I'd be delighted to get.

If Cheese picks before 1am, I'll be here.

It is funny how guys stock rise and fall in the drafts throughout the years. Somebody has noted that some guys have been drafted this year that didn't even appear last year.

Honky Tonk is a guy that you wouldn't know when he goes draftwise every year. He can go early, can go late, might not go at all. I had him one year and I feckin' loved writing him. A whopper talent from the Hulkamania period.
