Nothing too exiting there, it doesn't really get going until after Christmas.

Order of play out end of this week.

Can we stop all this nonsense and just give Michael Van Gerwen the trophy now..

Nothing too exciting , they're are some good looking match ups there. Wright v Brown
    Terry Jenkins v Darin Young
    Robert Thornton v Alan Norris
Mervyn King v Oreshkin/Lim (great to see Paul Lim back)
Benito van de Pas v Max Hopp
    Andrew Gilding v Gerwyn Price
    Jamie Lewis v Daryl Gurney

Love every single minute of the world's can't wait for it to start

Benito v Hopp and Gurney v Lewis are the only two matchs that could go either way in my opinion. None of the potential winners will have trouble. Wright will easily dispose of Brown.

Same though, I'll watch every single dart that's thrown.

Norris could catch out Thornton but only if he brushes up on his doubles.

The last two places for the pdpa qualifiers is on today, over 150 entries. just saw Paul Nicholson knocked out in first round.

It never works like that. You will always see a few seeds being knocked out in Round 1. Christmas never really starts until the World Championships start!

Knocked out in the First Round of the PDPA Qualifiers. Colin Lloyd, Colin Osbourne, Devon Peterson and Mark Dudbridge a few others knocked out.

Ronnie Baxter missed the 11am sign in deadline so also out.

John Part failed to qualify too.

Adrian Lewis (5) v Jan Dekker

It wouldn't surprise me to see Lewis lose this. I all depends on whether he turns up on the day.

Why is this a surprise? He's useless these days, lost all his confidence.

Fair play to Ricky, he hasn't qualified for anything in a while. Love watching him.

Wonder what odds you would get for Paul lim to hit a 9 darter, would be some sight.

Its like buying money backing van gerwen this year for the world champion!!.

Edit: 7/4 seems to be the biggest price on offer.

Great odds if your lumpling on. Some great eachway betting too, almost any of the top ten players could get to the final.

When can we find the draw chart so we can see who possibly plays who in the latter stages?

My post number 5 above has the full bracket draw. Copy it into the OP if you want.

I wasn't gambling back when taylor was unstoppable years ago, what kinda price would he have been at the start of the world's back then? (I don't know if you know the answer to that either, so if anyone does??)

Van Gerwen gonna pay for the new year :) I can't see anyone beating him, he is just too consistent compared to all the top players at the moment. Even when pushed, he finds them 10-11-12 darters and just finds a way to win.

Conclusion, mighty mike is unbeatable and will get his hands back on the Sid Waddell trophy, put the outside farm on him :)

Are the world's finishing on the 4th of January?

Definitely, there are normally quite a few shocks in the first round.

Dekker is muck. I can count in 1 hand the amount of times I've seen him with an average above 80

About 1/2 if memory serves me.

can see MVG winning it but a surprise winner would not be a big surprise.

I've slated Lewis before for various reasons but I think he has turned a corner and copped on a bit, could be worth a shout ,if he's on top firm he is hard to beay

In fairness to Dekker he has managed to qualify for the World Championships in his first year in the PDC and he did it without having a tour card. That's pretty impressive. It will take a huge performance for him to beat Lewis but if Lewis has one of his off days where he averages low 90's then Dekker could definitely take him.

To be honest i wouldnt trust lewis to not indulge to much in the christmas cheer to stay focused over a long tournament like this.

The man looked like death warmed up against MVG the other day..

Yes he is but Lewis is inconsistent, he could end up beating himself.

Dekker in fairness to him has had a good season, winning the Challenge Tour Order of Merit and securing a full tour card in the process. If he's on good form and Adrian starts messing it could get interesting alright.

I see the SkySportsDarts channel is up and running on channel 407.
I was hoping they'd show some new footage from the archive but it's the same games over and over.
