Tralee :Left the house this morning in driving mist and rain and relativly mild at 12C, rain turned heavy after 8.30 as the temperature plummeted getting to its lowest temperature of 5.0C at 15.30, brightened up a bit in the afternoon with quick moving showers spectacurly dropping sheets of rain every direction you looked with the odd one overhead.

Blustery at times getting up to 62.8kph, a few hail showers this evening ( the last one knocking over 1 °C off the temp.)

Precip 9mm so far ( think there is some hail melting in the AWS gauge as I type )

After today there will have been 300mm of rain in newport station. Thats over 10mm everyday. If you look at the past 48 months in the historic data 300 never appears. When was a month last this wet in newport? Does anyonw know? Still about 50mm to fall there before 1st December
