Last night's minimum here 14.8C...that beats the all-time November record for a warm night (here) set 5 days ago!

And in between we had a daily maximum of 7C and sleet showers.

Dry windy day, lots of sunshine - max 16.2C...now 15.6C with clear skies and moderate breeze.

Melanoma

Downed branches on a road in Roscommon, quite dangerously say 10 foot long 10 inches wide. I tried to clear the road but fast moving cars scared me one of which was damaged when it hit one so I got back in the car and drove on.

Road to athlone via tuam road as you head from curraghboy. Reckon now they are old trees, they often shed, just not such big ones.

Temp 6.0C, which is the overnight low...light breeze, partly cloudy, some early sunshine.

Yesterday temp remained above 15C till 9pm; between then and 3am it dropped to 6.5C in very windy conditions. No rain except for a very brief shower at 11.30 last night (0.6mm)

Second exceptionally windy day this month and season . Plenty of showery rainfall at times with a few interspersed spells of sunshine.

November has become an officially wetter than normal month with so far 103% of the LTA rainfall at Grange - 70.8mm. Sunshine is rising gradually with 72% of the LTA sunshine at Grange - 49 hours. Mean temperature is still remarkably high with 11.9c - +4.0c above normal but is expected to significantly drop from Friday onwards!
