    Barolo for 11 quid?!

Yes, but 2014 seems to be a hit and miss year there so I wasn't sure whether to risk it... was curious if anyone had tried it yet and what was the verdict.

    Is it this one?

    https://www.lidl.ie/en/p/italiamo/barolo-docg-2014/p36889

Showing as 16 quid here. Which is still good.

Has anyone tried these coffee beans, and would you recommend them?

They're approx 1/3 of the price of the beans I normally buy  (Nick's Coffee in Ranelagh, €22/kg, and last time Tico beans at €25/kg .....won't be doing that again!). I'd also like Lavazza Rosso well enough, that would be my "bargain" choice.

The label looked slightly different, more basic... I think it's rrp was €14.99 and at 25% it was now €11.99.
I didn't see the 25% off for these wines anywhere online \ leaflet.

Online and in the leaflet the only declared 25% off wine is the St Emilion Bordeaux.

I don't know if different stores have different promos or if the same wines will be 25% off in all LIDLs.

Yes I have had them - not great. Not in the same league as Nick's coffee - probably not too far off the lavazza though so maybe worth a try. Have definitely had worse!

Do Lidl do their own version of pot noodles?

Yes, but I have only seen the chicken and mushroom ones for a few years now. They used to have a curry version, and both kinds had some soy protein flakes in them, but they're gone as well. :(

could this be the lidl/aldi mixed box syndrome. Each box has several variants and all the nice ones sell out first so it ends up looking like a box which was totally chicken & mushroom.

In my lidl there is often only prawn supernoodles left.

The Italiamo cheese slices are lovely.

I haven't seen even one of them in years though. Until recently, I lived about 20 metres from a Lidl, and only saw a shelf chock full of Chicken and Mushroom cup noodles. :(:(:(

Has anyone tried this wine in a box from LIDL?
    https://www.lidl.ie/en/p/super-savers/chilean-cabernet-sauvignon/p37071

Chilean red wine, it's on offer next week at €15 for 3 litres.

Just wondering (a) if the wine is nice and (b) how long it stays drinkable once opened?
I'm assuming as you pour wine from it the sleeve shrinks so no oxygen enters and it should have a longer 'open' shelf life than a bottle.

Those kind of boxes are quite common in France.
Wine stays fine for a long time, no bother.
Definitely no need, like with a bottle, to finish it in 1 go.

Anyone buy the speaker tower in Lidl? It’s €60. Their mini speaker is brilliant.

Just use food colouring in a normal cocktail.

They’re rotten. Like chewing cardboard. Much better vegetable burgers out there in Tesco’s. Aldi’s frozen ones are way better also

The ones from Mae's Kitchen? I thought those were rotten, to each their own I guess!

I loved the little meat company pulled chicken from the kickstarter range - but they never seem to get any of them in permanently like Aldi do :-(

Lidl here currently have a Camembert spread as part of their special offers for Easter. It's in the fridge section, in little tubs, and I think it tastes absolutely divine!
It's just so nice an cheesy, you really get Camembert flavour out of it. Would recommend it with a fresh pretzel!
