Do you only get the headache when studying?

    (chronic headache sufferer here!)

Drink water , sleep more, less junk food , less alcohol ( if you drink) , eat fruit and veg , lower caffine intake and maybe even take a paracetamol :D
... and get at least half an hour's fresh air / exercise each day, even a *brisk* walk is fine.

A visit to specsavers may not go amiss either as mentioned ... you may just need something for reading.

Maybe it's your diet or eyes like the other posters said. I hope you get it sorted anyway, my family has a history of chronic migraines and they really kill you

Such a sh1t day today, maths test went terribly :( had theorems 11,12,13 learned off and none of them end up on the test. Couple that with a ball buster geometry question (which was mainly trig, so hadn't revised well for it) </3

Early days yet, I'm now staring down at 10 pages of writing and some genetics.

I wonder if I could run away to the circus...

So the first month back has gone almost exactly as expected. Biology still has me wanting to tear my hair out and I really do need to get serious about revising the 5th year course, but everything is going alright apart from that. Anyone doing honours Irish - how are you finding the áistí? I've been trying to do a few in my spare time in the hopes of eventually being able to rhyme them off like the scéal in JC Irish, but a few months later and progress has been very slow :(

This year has been a rollecoaster for me already. Some days I feel alive and energised and work my ass off and get so much stuff done. Others day (like today) I am absolutely knackered after school and can't even bring myself to sit down at my desk and open a book. All I want to do is sit back, listen to music and relax right now.

I'm sure i'm not the only one experiencing this crazy instability of motivation....right guys :o

No you're not. I haven't got anything to work towards either, it doesn't help that socially my life isn't going very wel so I haven't got much on outside of school. It's easy to feel deflated some days but I just try to forget it.

I'll tell you when it works

Yeah my social life has gone to s**t this year as well. Have barely gone out and can see myself falling out with some friends.

It's what happens after this year that scares me the most tbh

What stage are you at in the project?

I'm also have those awful energy/mood swings too, I usually go easy on the days I'm not feeling it as there not that common. But like others I've so much shít going on outside of school work that's all just decided to come together and fúck up a lot of stuff but I'm just ignoring it and I've cut a good few people out of my life just blocking them everywhere and it's helped a good bit.

I should have sheets 1-5 finished by tomorrow night. It got ignored a bit at first but I really got stuck into it last week. I'm not the best at solidworks so that will take me a while to get done so I'll probably fall behind again soon.

Fair play to you, that's great work! I really need to get my arse in gear. Once you get going it's not too bad.
