Any course/career you're especially interested in?

I have been wanting to do an engineering course since TY... re-accessing that thought now to be honest. Every time I have a maths test I get super nervous because if I fail the test I feel I'm failing my future...And the fear of failure decreases my results... The vicious circle of maths... Any course career yourself?

I want to try the army but I don't know if my eyes will cut it. It was a bit disappointing because I got really into it. Currently I'm looking at all the college website for inspiration

We have done Company and sole trader accounts, Debtors + Creditors control accounts, Tabular Statements, Depreciation and revaluation of fixed assets, club accounts, incomplete records and cash flow statements. We are currently doing costing in management accounting. Our teacher said we should have the course finished just after the mocks!

All Final Accounts, Control, Suspense, Depreciation, Club, Service, Incomplete, Farm.

I also feel we are a tad bit behind but nonetheless the exam papers have calmed me a little.

Club, Farm, Service, Incomplete, Control, Published, Suspense, Revaluation, Tabular, Depreciation. We're going onto final accounts next week, I think we're moving along fine and are going the same speed as friends in other schools. We're the only accounting class and it's quite small which helps I think.

Nope, just finished a Hamlet essay that I've had for a week that's due for tomorrow. I kept convincing myself I'd do it earlier but uh

Accounting is probably my favourite subject for LC. It's a practical subject so you learn by doing it but once you understand what you're doing the questions you can answer any question on that topic

Suppose it depends on the person! Would you consider being an accountant now :)?

No actually I want to be a biomedical scientist or a Biology and Ag Science teacher or a nurse/midwife not 100% yet. What about yourself any notions of what you would like to do?

Bit irritated with my career guidance counsellor. She never mentioned that the NUIG open days are next Friday and Saturday and I don't think I can find a way to get to Galway on such short notice. :(

That aside, this week has been pretty alright! Did fairly well in a few tests and I think I'm finally managing to get into the swing of studying. We'll see how long it lasts though. :o

There's another NUIG open day on the 1st of April, if that helps!

I actually don't mind it tbh! It just takes loads and loads of practice doing like every exam question ever!

We have control accounts, incomplete records, product costing, marginal/absorption costing, club accounts, depreciation/revaluation and cash flow forecast done. :pac: so we're definitely behind! :(

Finally got my exam papers so I can start studying properly now, having at least 3 tests (pre mocks) a week is super stressful :(
Anyone else working part time during the Lc?
