And still languishing in my team, I think Bentaleb will be back in that first team and will produce respectable scores for his price, he's (and me) paying a hefty price for that misplaced pass that cost spurs the game at United. Whenever I play the wildcard he will be gone but I can't move him till then.

if I need .1 when I wildcard I may get him in !

    bentaleb down to 4.4!

If he goes to 4.3/4.2 I'll have to get him back in if he gets respectable minutes.

Got him last season very cheap when he came back from injury

I'd be amazed if Bentaleb isn't back in the next 1-2 game weeks.
Dier ain't no DM that's for sure. Hopefully Vertogen is dropped and Dier goes back into CB.

Bentalebs prob more at risk to losing his place to a new signing.

Also. Is it time for ACN's again in the new year? He'll miss a few games in the spring but that's a long way off for now.

African cup of nations have moved to odds years so next one isn't till 2017.

Why bentaleb? I've watched him the start if the season and he's looked truly awful each game. Can't hold the ball, looks dodgy when on it, doesn't score. Doesn't assist. Don't see what he gives for 4.anything.

Oh ok. Someone mentioned it on another thread a few weeks ago but I thought something was a miss when no one else seemed to be mentioning it.

You mean the whole two games he played so far.

I agree he was very poor against united and to be honest he's a poor player in a poor team at the moment.

    He'll be back though.
I expect the attraction to him is that he is dirt cheap and a certain starter (GW3 apart)
So ideal as a 5th midfielder where budgets are tight.
He's no where near my team though.

Haven't been at a computer since Friday to do my team and never thought about my phone and now my master wildcard plan is foiled!
Rooney had to go after Newcastle game and wanted Aguero in which meant downgrading another strike who was Kane and both of them have dropped now! :'( This leaves me with 5.3m to replace Mertesacker with another 5.5m defender! Going to wildcard now before them strikers drop again but really should of done this earlier

Will Hazard fall tonight? I really want to keep Hazard over switching to Pedro this week but if it looks like he is gonna drop in price I'll be forced to make the switch.

FFFix have him over the 100% already anyway... I'm tempted to take the -4 hit to make that swap too and bank the difference (already brought in Sagna).

I couldn't in all honesty ditch Hazard before a home game against Palace who've conceded 4 times in the 3 games so far. It'll be nice to view him as some sort of differential.

I have Mane in my squad due to fall but no way on earth I'm releasing him ahead of this weekend unless I hear that he's out.

-95.9% on FPLStats so either tonight or tomorrow. My team value is 100.4m yet my resale is 99.8m. Tough so far this season to avoid drops

I'm in the exact same position and doing the same. Hopefully our luck turns. I've to take a -4 to get rid of Sakho though :(

I agree crazy to sell either this week.

    Hazard has 85k transfers out

    Pedro has 190k transfers in

So looks like some are doubling up maybe?
Depay to Pedro looks a move for most.

Im doubling up this week on them. I will be selling hazard over the next couple of weeks though. Depay to pedro is the move im making.

Same move I made as well. For a non Hazard owner I had to get him in really, madness not to at 9.5.

Cost me Courtois in goal though which didn't please me but think I found a decent replacement

Chelsea are poison in defense at the moment, i'd say alot will be transferring out a Chelsea def/gk to free up funds

I just have to decide if that move is worth -4 or wait till next week and do it. Would cost me 0.1 or 0.2 on Pedro probably, which I can ill afford with my Benteke plans for a couple of weeks time.

If Mane is confirmed out or Koeman paints a picture which makes it unlikely that he'll start then I will also probably double up on Pedro and Hazard.
I never got to talk about hi because I wasn't here last week but Pedro is a player I've always liked and I can see him making a Sanchez like impression in England. However the English league is a difficult one to get used to so I have no problem holding back and seeing him a couple of more times, I saw most of Sundays match and felt he did ok but wasn't deserving of the plaudits he got imo, there was a lot of luck attached to that goal

Agree with that and it made it alot easier to sell him.

Here we go again, it was Cesc that had all the "luck" last season ;)

I'm doubling up this weekend but plan is eventually Hazard to Sanchez if required.

    Is that really so?

I haven't seen any fo their games. I missed Kolarov rise yesterday because 1) couldn't decide who to ditch between Bellerin & Azpi (their fixtures are much of a muchness over the next 6 GWs and the coming GW is actually pretty good) and 2) fell asleep :pac: :o...

True that Chelsea didn't return any CS pts so far but Azpi got me some nice attacking returns. So, if I assume Kolarov's on fire and with the fixtures he has he should outscore them 2 over the next 6 GWs, my question is Azpi attacking returns > Bellerin defensive returns?

And his assist. That was a shot that was going wide.

Not a chance, I call it as I see it, I'm often wrong but nobody will ever convince me that Cesc owners weren't lucky beyond belief for most of last year, I actually thought that he might get a run at the number 10 position but adding Pedro to the mix has put paid to that.

I said that I really think Pedro will be a success, just that I'm in no huge rush to sign him up until I see him again, as far as the points he got last weekend, there was certainly an element of luck, the goal was a weak effort that would have been zero threat were it no for the deflection, the assist was a shot that would have gone 15 yards wide.
But I wouldn't put them in the same category, Fabregas had experience of the English league but I didn't see him as a scoring threat in his position. Pedro is a proven top level goalscorer who plays in an attacking position.

As I am writing this I recall you (Lemlin) making similar points re: Depay.
I wasn't here last week but I imagine there was a lot of excitement after his European performance.

Two different kettles of fish. Depay is coming from the ninth ranked League in Europe and hasn't scored or assisted in three games now. The excitement did spill over but, as I reminded people then, even Danny Wellbeck managed a CL hat trick last season. Some of the opposition is atrocious.

Pedro is proven in the top League in Europe and got a goal and assist in his first game, no matter how lucky they were.

My wait and see period with Pedro ended on Sunday!

If you read over my posts you will see that I fully expect Pedro to do very well in England, lest this be seen as me making claims otherwise.
I suppose I did advise a bit of caution based on the media hysteria which surrounded his performance which wasn't as great as it was cracked up to be.

I understand that lucky points count the same as all the rest, but they are still lucky, the two goals that he was involved with contained a healthy slice of luck.

He would have had another assist if Willian could finish at all. So far this season with Silva, I've been unlucky not to get the goal GW1 and then lucky for two assists off corners and a deflected interception assist. It evens out

Azpi goal should be considered as a rarity. I wouldn't consider him one of the most attacking fullbacks out there. Chelsea look very suspect in defense. Terry pulled at h/t, and then sent off in the next game. Add in the fact that they've bid £30m for Stones, that tells us that Mourinho isn't confident in what he's got. Kolarov looks to be a must-have at the moment. I'd probably favour Bellerin over Azpi slightly - cheaper and is more of an attacking threat. And despite Arsenal not playing well they still managed to keep a cs against Liverpool (although they had Cech to thank in a large part for that)

I've probably been the poster mostly bigging up Pedro. I posted the reasons why I feel he will be a 200 pt midfielder last week he has the career stats and style of play to be ff gold. The comparison I made with him is ADM and in a bit of a coincidence ADM also made a lucky FF points start with goals that were crosses and shots being mis hit and turning into assists. The difference between the 2 of them is Pedro scores goals 5 pts ADM specialised in assists 3 pts. Midfielders that score goals are the type of players you need for FF and Pedro is a 1 in every 3 games goalscorer.
